lol Haize. Why does it get harder every year to get through this stuff. I was going to ask how you guys with 15 plus years did it but I realize the Flames were kind of good before Karcher.

We ran it good against Carolina? Oh well, I bet the team has an attitude against RIchmond next week!

different offense, but the best part is his WR's catch the ball, lol. I see very little catching with the hands all body type catches.

run on first, or quick out on first
better yet since we cant get separation against there smaller DBS we go SCREEN left SCREEN right
Hope that helps

I watched them run mesh routes and rubs all day
we never or rarely play any sort of press man

Not really. Did you see the Marshall score? I mean....Marshall. We had a good player here and there but have never been more than 'kinda good'

Yes, but we have become so predictable a RB doesn't have a chance when the other team knows we are going to run. You have to be a monster to gain yards in that kind of a situation.
Maybe we can schedule Bryant and Brevard for 10 games next year and make the playoffs. :)

We get different athletes when we're there. Totally different ballgame.
Yes. But we wouldn't get a new coaching staff......

Our offense is so predictable. It's honestly a replay of wvu when jeff Mullen was offensive coordinator. Once a game they would rip a big play, but there would be a ton of tfl, blown up screens, and turnovers that leave fans scratching their heads and laughing at the same time.

what makes you get different athletes, you are still LU, and are most likely only going to get the ones who get no bigger FBS offers, same as you do now, getting the ones that get no bigger FCS offers, and that my friend is the TRUTH. As Christian oriented as Tebow was do you think he would have come here over Florida, would he even have been used the same way he was that made him who he was there. Takes a special kid to want to come here. Not saying its a bad thing but it is a thing.

getting bashed in 3 2 1 .......

We wouldn't get the Tebows, but we'd get better athletes. We've been told by kids in the past that they loved our school, loved our facilities, loved our staff but they wanted to play in a better league (SoCon, CAA in most instances). A better conference gets us better athletes.

As I said earlier this is not all staff, some of this is on players, IMO, I think we have a tweener offense, you are not going to get a great power running game with a 185 lb RB period. So if you really want to be effective you can do what ISU is doing and use the spread to create your runs. We DO NOT have an AA or SCH in this backfield to create that. I think we are settling on josh becuz he fits, I honestly don't know why you would go after the athletic style qb's if you are not going to run stuff that makes them effective, or put in best position.

I don't think anyone here can tell me that TG was a drop back QB, he played in a system that fit his talents.

I am not here to bash. When you're FBS, you are the highest level of college football. You are absolutely correct in that it doesn't mean that you automatically get the best athletes. If you have any coaching/recruiting ability, you will get more talented players than any FCS school.

We do well for a Big South football program when it comes to recruiting. But its a shame that all of that talent has been and is going to waste....

That once again IMO seems very far fetched, kids know about team names, and its hard to see a kid picking Wofford over LU, JMU is primarily based on the fact they think its party but not based on FB, even a W&M over LU seems hard to understand, at least when mines did all his recruiting. Just don't see it.

AGree and disagree with that. Is it coaches fault that we drop TD's or muff punts or ez catches. Is it coaches fault for a great dive run that we fumble, or a poor read by the qb that gets picked off. NO. It is the coaches fault for same playcalling, or not being able to adapt.

They do. And there have been some good ones that got away because of differences in FCS conferences, let alone FBS.

We are either not as good as we think or ISU is for real. If we play like this next week we will get run out of our on stadium. Defense plays soft and running game is hopeless. Throw in a few turnovers = LU football over the last 7 years

It is not entirely on the coaches. But they need to be held accountable for allowing the same mistakes to occur over and over and over and over and over........many of which have been occurring the entire time that the current staff has been at Liberty.

You can disagree all you want. That's straight from coaches.
