I walked past the construction site behind Vines earlier today and saw something that resembled a fire pit that I don't remember seeing there before. They have just added concrete steps to the middle of the amphitheatre area, which will connect the circle dorms area of campus to the library (like a 2014 version of the ravine).

For the construction picture aficionados, I was on campus yesterday and strolled about the Vines/Commons/Circle area taking pictures. I uploaded the best ones to Google Drive. They do have descriptions. I'm waiting for Commons I to be 100% completed, hopefully later this fall, and then I'm going to try to get with an RA or somebody in the building to do a 360-degree photography tour, outside and inside, of the completed facility. But I want to wait until all that exterior work is cleaned up, and I don't yet know when that will be.

Look up in the right corner of the screen and you should see an icon for 'details'. You are in.

Well, it seems that y'all have managed not only to explode this topic overnight, but answer most of your own questions in my absence. I see only a few that need attending to, but first: I'm using Safari as my web browser, which uses the same engine as Chrome. I loaded up Firefox and can't find any way to access the details screen from that browser. I feel like there must be a way to do it, but I can't find it.

I, for one, do not. So far, every rendering of the tunnel has proven woefully inaccurate. At this point, I'm not even 100% sure they are putting any sign up at all. If they do, I'm sure it will nicely complement the overall appearance of the tunnel.

Um … no, not at all. Not sure where you got that idea. Check my diagram again, this time I've added a yellow arrow that shows the approximate location and direction of my camera when I took #19:



So basically (best I can tell) in 10 years I would be standing just inside the north end of another dorm, looking at almost the exact same view through a dorm room window, with the rest of my building behind me. Only difference is that the road and curb in the very foreground would not be there. I expect that lawn in the picture will remain 95%-100% intact.

Perhaps a partial one. As I recall, if you sit behind a dugout at Liberty Baseball Stadium, you can see the players standing against the railing, so the roof doesn't extend all the way out.

As far as the licensed merchandise, to be fair, the bookstore does have decent discounts on a fairly frequent basis. That is how I afforded the vast majority of my Liberty gear. I do wonder why Liberty seems to charge a little more than larger, more prominent programs like UVA. My business sense tells me Nike, JanSport, and the others probably don't give Liberty as favorable a contract as they give the big FBS schools because we're not as popular and don't sell as much merchandise.

Sure, the perspective is what's off.
Haha, just kidding. Actually the perspective is somewhat impaired by the fact that my photograph did not capture all of Commons I. It extends to the left and right well beyond what's visible. Yes, it's that big. From what I could see on the Master Plan model pictures, the horseshoe-ish dorm would not significantly interfere with the lawn or parking at Commons I. In fact, the north exterior wall would probably be almost exactly where the curb in the photo foreground is.
