Can we please stop hinting at even a possibility of beating UNC?! I believe in "that's why they play the game" more than most, but to even point out the possibility goes behind that frame of mind and paints the speaker as ignorant.

At the President's kickoff, JB said that the football team wasn't just going down to Chapel Hill to play UNC, they were going to try and beat them. Of course he was talking to a crowd of students that was at least 80% freshman but the team seems confident that they can pull this off.

If they weren't confident going in that would be a...well a problem. anyway we have one more week before we hit game week prep and im pumped. do we have a chance? not likely. I'd love to be wrong and I am willing to bet a lot of others on here would feel the same way

I believe the team should go down there to "try" to win. But they aren't going to. And people giving them near or as much as 50/50 odds are positively looney!

As long as they don't hang 80 on us and Nick is able to get on the bus under his own power i will be happy. 4/5 TFL's and i will be extremely happy. don't really care if we win or not because i wouldn't get to remember it unless someone near me knows CPR.

Sorry that's not going to happen. My excitement over the achievements of sports teams I am a fan of have driven me to do some crazy things; pelvic thrusting at the TV, jumping up and down so much the furniture shakes, picking up the dog and shaking his front legs to the tune of a fight song, but never singing a fight song in the nude on a college campus.

yeah, in 4 days the real talk begins. Until today I wasn't really excited about football season. Now, all of a sudden, I am extremely excited.

They got it right. It all comes down to Nov 22. I dont think Gill and Co will throw up a flop game like Rocco was known for. Btw, Mike Rocco isnt the clear starter over there in RoccoLand. I am sure he will take some snaps in his former HS stadium in a couple months.
