Its not out of the realm of possibility. I mean they canned Bart Lundy and he took them to the finals for the second time in school history (course in the years that followed they finished 6th and got bounced in the semis, 5th and got bounced in the semis, 2nd and got bounced in the semis, 3rd and got bounced in the semis and 8th and got routed in the first round). If they get bounced again this year, youre probably right in that he would be shown the door as well

I think Cherry has saved his job with the teams regular season performance and the talent they have coming back for next year.

If they dont win it all this year, I think even with all that is returning, AD Kielitz will give serious consideration to making a change in head coach. Bear in mind that they haven't been to any postseason play (and I mean beyond the conference tournament) since 1996 when they were still a Div II program.

IMO this would be a terrible move. It is going to take the next coach at least 2 years to even get a decent recruiting class in. Not only that but UVA is primed to be a very good ACC team this year. If they win the regular season or Acc tournament, he could get a much higher profile job.

ODU has the resources to be a good program. They could easily compete with some of the big boys, IMO. It'd be a good job for anyone.
