That plot was really week. They completely changed the rules of how the time travel worked at the end just to give Cruise's poorly developed character a happy ending.

+1 I thought it was a pretty good movie. It probably won't win any awards, but it was far from terrible.

I mean I did see it a week after Days of Future Past, which has been the best movie of the summer so far IMO. Watching Now You See Me a few days after Brad Pitt Zombie Movie had the opposite effect last summer(Made an above average at best movie look great).

Days of Future Past was a tad disappointing. It was solid but I preferred Edge over it because it was a little more unique, better acting and I want to read the book

People trash on Tom Cruise, but the guy knows how to pick a sci-fi role. Minority Report, Oblivion, War of the Worlds, Vanilla Sky, all good movies (at least I enjoyed them).

Oh, and as a side note, Jack Reacher was actually a pretty good movie, I'm glad they're making another one.

I didn't care for War but was pleasantly surprised with Oblivion.
And considering the "Founder" of Scientology it's not surprising he picks Sci Fi roles
But I do think Edge is a really really good movie

I'm glad this got bumped, because I've bumped this thread one to many times already. But anyway Guardians of the Galaxy was AWESOME, as always with the MCU perfect balance of comedy and action. Funny men like Chris Pratt, Bradley Copper and John C. Riley tilted the scales slightly more towards the humor side. And a few well placed 80's pop culture references, including one very funny Footloose joke and early 70's music really set the movie apart from the very modern pop-culture heavy other movies. And what's not to love about a sarcastic raccoon with a full arsenal of very large weapons.

I saw that last night and it definitely looks intriguing. Hopefully people won't go into it expecting a word for word biblical account.

I saw a write up on it in Yahoo. Getting great buzz.
However, the same article mentioned a re make of Ben Hur, which won 11 Academy awards.....how can you top that?
