I did, because I am done with all the co-championships. Im excited for the year but I do not want to share anymore...If we're gonna talk about the season on Twitter or Facebook, I want it to be clear that we are not sharing the Big South title...when we say "Big South Champs" at the end of this year, I want us to be the ONLY ones saying it. So, I figured Id put it up here and plant a seed in the minds of Flames Nation

Conference championships are major goals and achievements, but playoffs are far more important. I would be satisfied if we didn't share the conference title, but made the playoffs. That scenario is unlikely, but possible.

Oh, I'm not bitter- I've been bleeding LU red, white and blue for 10 years now.

I'm just not jumping on the hype train this season until we start to prove we can actual hit those 4-1 predictions. It seems every season we have talk of finishing 10-1, 9-2, etc... and always end up disappointed.

The program seems to have taken a hit, our momentum has died down tremendously since the Sun Belt rumors, and we're going to be fairly young offensively at the skill positions. I'd be thrilled if we're staring down 4-1 but just don't see it happening.

As a Liberty fan I really like BSN's Big South Predictions, I hope they are right! And man would that last game in Conway on 11/22 be huge with both teams highly ranked and Liberty at 10-1 and CCU at 11-0.

Young at the skilled positions? The only starter from the end of last year we won't have is Rice. Woodrum is now officially a veteren at QB. All 3 starting WRs are returning, and while the backups will be young, they are actually a big upgrade in talent. Brandon Apon was hurt at the end of last year, so Dexter Herman is the returning starter at TE, unless the transfer from WVU beats him out. While we don't use the FB that much, we have a 3rd year starter there as well. At RB, we will be inexperienced behind Abner.

I'm not really sure what I said to rile you up RI, but I didn't write that, some dude from Beyond Sports Network did. Not sure how a blogger is a "hype machine". I just said I'd like it if they were right. Personally, I do have LU finishing at 10-2 with losses to UNC and either UR or App. If you don't like me being a FAN on FlameFans, then I don't know what to tell you. This team has a ton of potential and a ton returning. Questions? YEP. RB and DB, definitely will be works in progress. Everything else is solid, experienced, and pretty deep. I think Josh will put up video game numbers and tons of points and the defense will be very good, good enough to keep opponent scoring below ours. I've seen others on here with 9-3 or 10-2 as well.

Whatever our ranking, record, etc. we will once again miss the playoffs by one game. I hope I am wrong, but until we get over the hump, I will remain uber skeptical.
I would feel much better if we could get a GOOD FBS transfer at RB.

Your excited. I am too. Its basically pointing out that you will forever be by the kool aid, and are in the running every year for Homer of the year. Its all good.
