That's not going to happen... I still think they find a way to get this done.

I'd jump on that deal in a minute. Love is a known commodity, Wiggins is not. Love would be a greater compliment to Irving and James than would Wiggins. You are building for now and the recent future. Love will find a way to get you to the Championship. (See what I did there 8) )

PF: Andrew Wiggins
C: Anderson Varejao, well maybe not him but the first four are scary.
Wiggins is an SG, not a power forward, never has and never will be.

But LeBron needs a backcourt running mate that can play defense because Kyrie and Waiters sure as heck don't. Kyrie is one of the worst defenders in the league. Not that Wiggins should hold up the trade, but it would not be wise to trade away Wiggins and not leave themselves with cap room to go get a quality perimeter defender to mask Kyrie.

I thought he was a small forward and could play the 4 in a small line-up. So that's my screw-up

I know he was drafted as an SG, he's got to put on quite a bit of muscle to play SF, especially PF. 6'8" and only weighs 200 lbs. Either he doesn't hit the weight room hard or he just can't put on much muscle because he weighed in at 195 two years ago, so only 5 lbs. in two years? Yikes. According to the DraftExpress database, only six SFs have ever weighed in at under 200 lbs. at the NBA Draft Combine, so yeah he is about as lean as you can get for a SF. Meanwhile 200 lbs. for a SG comes in at middle of the pack.

I'm not a huge wiggins fan. I don't think he will ever give Cleveland what love could give them. I would do that deal in a second.

Wiggins will be a very nice SG in a couple of years. I would bet that he'll grow at least another inch in height plus another inch in wingspan in the next two years. His physical build reminds me of Durant in a lot of ways, so I think that he will have difficulty reaching 215-220lbs. If he can properly add weight and keep refining his skills, there is no reason that he can't be an annual All-Star. Love is a proven commodity, with pros and cons, but I think Wiggins has more upside in the next 5 years.

Will be interesting to see what the Cavaliers do. There are still some pretty solid free agent forwards and centers that would fit well with their current makeup. They're in a no lose situation right now.

The wolves may want to drop JJ Berea and his salary as well. He won't help the Cavs much but would be a nice 2nd team player

The main problem for me with Wiggins is his mentality. He looks like he is just out there going through the motions, not wanting to even have an impact on the game. See Stanford NCAA Tournament game. A guy of his skill level shouldn't be settling for only 6 shot attempts. Then he'll go berserk the next game, like he did against West Virginia. Hopefully for his sake (and Cleveland's) that it's just the case of someone who thinks they can turn it on and off whenever they want, which is a habit he can break.

JJ Barea would be a very nice backup PG for the Cavs on a team whose current backup PG is Matthew Dellavedova. ANd he has championship winning experience, something which no other current Cavs player other than LeBron has

This is absolutely correct. He dazzled in a lot of games, but others he mailed it in for whatever reason. However, I think that he will do better in the NBA, especially alongside Kyrie and LeBron. His teammates, the fans, and media will push him, unlike at Kansas.

Ouch. Doesn't help that he went to a coach who doesn't adapt his system to best utilize the talent he has.

Are you referring to Bill Self or David Blatt? Self definitely didn't do Wiggins any favors while he was at Kansas.

That's what I thought.

I am very interested to see how Blatt handles this team. He has a high offensive basketball IQ and built a great career in the Euroleague and at Maccabi Tel Aviv B.C., but I wonder how that will carry over to the NBA.

Surprised to not see a post on it yet but it's finally happened.

Wiggins, Bennett and a protected 2015 first round pick have been traded to the Timberwolves for Kevin Love.

So, Love will now join Kyrie and the best player in NBA history, Lebron James, in Cleveland.

I think it's a good deal for Minnesota too. They get a potential superstar in Wiggins, a potential starter in Bennett, and a first round pick. They already have Rubio and Pekovic. They have the makings of a good team in a few years.

yeah, I don't think it could've worked out any better for minnesota.

Also, LeBron is not the best player ever. He is the best player of this generation without a doubt.

Rumor is Bennett will be traded to Philly for Thad Young once the Love-Wiggins deal is complete
