The latest paper copy of the Liberty Journal (summer edition) is on campus now , but the electronic copy has not been posted yet. In the News section, look for the article about the LU Quiz Bowl team.

Oh, and about the tower, I think the LJ article said it would be the tallest building in Lynchburg!

Is this the Adminstrative Tower that's on the Master Plan where the hill dorms are?

Will have to see about getting it mailed to the house here in Portsmouth...Im sure somebody over in the news office is working on getting the LJ posted as well so hopefully that will be up soon (I had to do that when I worked over there...)

yeah for all the morbidly obese southern baptists

but at least they don't drink lager, listen to "secular" music or move in with their fiance' or fiancee' before actually having the paperwork stamped

That was from the big storm we had this week. Someone left the doors open - all the seats blew away...

I've only sat in the "old" seats for one Convo but they were a little hard, if they're putting softer chairs in there I am totally on board.

My assistant posted a pic on FB yesterday of one of the 4 one-story academic buildings (Education) being demo'ed yesterday. I tried to post the pic on Image Shack to bring it here, but I don't think Image Shack is free anymore.

Yeah, I moved away from ImageShack for several reasons. I now primarily use imgur.com as my hosting site.

As far as clearances for the elevation of the structure, I know they have been checking into this for a long time. The fact that it hasn't hit road blocks to this point would indicate that they have a modicum of confidence that final approval is likely.

Just reading about all of the construction and seeing how it is all going to look likes amazes me. That photo of the new dorm is very impressive looking. The sports complex is awesome. It is hard to find something to be critical about
