Does Scripture say for certain that Jesus drank wine? I know he turned water into wine.

Also, is it even remotely possible that what the Bible calls wine may no be the same thing as what we call wine today? Of course it's possible. So this isn't as black and white as simply saying, "Jesus drank wine," or, "Jesus turned water into wine."

Well if meant something else, why didn't the translators of the Bible into English use the words grape juice (or nectar) instead of wine? They had other options by the time King Jimmy ordered the Bible translated into English.

It's pretty stupid to say that he turned water into wine but he didn't drink. That's like saying I smoked MJ but didn't inhale.

Yes, of course he drank wine. That's what was served at the Passover meal! The "cup" was wine!

At the very least, the wine Jesus made was "the best stuff" according to the guests at the feast. Normally the best was served first, since by the time the bad stuff was brought out the guests would be drunk enough not to notice it. There were instances of wine being watered down for daily use, but not at a wedding celebration.

Jesus certainly didn't drink sweet tea. Water wasn't always fit for human consumption back then. Milk wasn't for anyone who had been weened. Not too many options for Him other than wine.

I don't (and won't) drink alcohol, for a variety of reasons. But that's my conviction, not doctrine. There are better choices to make, but I'm not going to attack someone who drinks occasionally. Of course, the prohibitions against drunkenness are pretty clear.
