Is there any rumors out about schools coming after Toman? Heard ECU may be charging. After the two years the Flames have had would not be surprised. Also does the admin have he locked in to a + year deal or is his contract up? Fan or not he has proven he can win and move up the RPI.

He'll be rumored for most jobs that are open. He's got a few years left and he has a really good contract here. With that said, his desire is to be in a conference where you don't have to rely on the conference tournament or go through the mid-week grind we went through this year. Because it's obvious we aren't leaving the Big South in the next two years, I could see him taking a job simply to get to a better league.

Rumor has it that Auburn may be opening open. Toman was runner up last year when it was open and would likely be in the running this year.

So, is Auburn looking to can Golloway after one 28-28 season, or is he looking to move on already? pretty strange either way if you ask me.

There are some alleged improprieties going on at Auburn.

That doesn't sound like the best situation for Toman, but who knows.

Based on that report, it isn't a question of straightening anything out. They just want a coach who is "nicer" to the players. Without knowing specifics it's hard to know if this is legit like the Rutgers basketball situation or simply some cry-baby, primadonna players who have been coddled to since T-ball and can't take criticism.

It is legit. He has a history and reports that came out of Oklahoma after he left were crazy. Everyone was ecstatic to see him leave. Especially former players that had played in big leagues etc.

IF Toman leaves and with all the guys being drafted and graduating, we are going to have a huge turnover of players and coaches to replace.

The two potential guys to replace him would be really, really good though. Don't want to mention any names because those guys have jobs and I don't want to start unneeded rumors. If Toman actually leaves, I'll be more than happy to post those. Don't wanna be that guy, but did want to mention we have connections in place if it happens.

A good AD, which we have, is always thinking ahead regarding any possible personnel moves. Hopefully, we will know sooner rather than later, either way.

Would be an amazing hire!

DBU has a great program and that would be a good one. From what I hear their coach is a very strong believer and DBU has some of the same set of rules that LU has in place. My only question would be the Liberty connection. Need someone that could bring the alum and new guys together that understands, for lack of a better term, the "Liberty Way". ( I know all the old guys get a kick or a sick feeling when they hear that team.) But this maybe a mute point. Toman , if he's smart will be there a long time. Dudes got it made.

Wow not sure Toman could say no to Clemson. But I have heard that USC may be open in a year as well. The long and the short is simple he will be coaching at LU at least one more year. Biggest issue for him will be moving his kids. The older they get the harder it is to move them. So next year if he stays may be there for the long haul. Out of here the fish are jumping.

Just heard we signed Coach Toman to a 4 yr extension on his current dill. Is that true? And if so how long will that put him under contract?

We generally offer extensions entering the last year of the existing deal, so that would put him under contract for the next 5 years, which means........................................................................ absolutely nothing.
