I am prepared to GUARANTEE that at least one of our 6 true Freshmen will redshirt, and if we fill that last scholarship, possibly 2. It will NOT be Bonds, Talbert or Moller, which leaves Maxwell, Allen and Reid. Right now my guess would be Allen. He has great upside due to his athleticism, but his skill set is limited and he is really skinny. While he might give the fans a few thrills coming in at garbage time, with Johnson and Andoh on board I don't think he would play a lot this season, so why not give him a year to get in the weight room, put on some muscle and work on his game?

I'd go with Maxwell. We are solid enough at that spot and he could certainly use a year. Allen's athleticism puts him ahead Maxwell because you can do a lot with athleticism

You won't find much information on the other BSC fansites. The Winthrop board used to be heavy into recruiting in the Marshall era, but not so much now. As far as sheer numbers are concerned, no surprise our 8 new faces top the list, but there are other large classes coming in. Longwood and CSU have each signed 6, with CSU also having another verbal, which would make 7. Going by verbalcommits "average star" system, there are only 4 recruits rated over 2 stars signed by BSC schools. 3 of them are coming to LU. Talbert at 2.3, Andoh at 2.7 and Johnson at 3.7. The other is Longwood Juco transfer Shaquille Johnson who originally signed as a 3 star with Auburn.

Based on what he is putting out on twitter and instagram, it certainly looks like he plans on being a Flame this year.

With the additions of Tanner Hoffman and Theo Johnson we now have a squad of 16, including 3 walkons. 10 are totally new faces, including walkon Hoffman. It's really 11 though, because Ryan Kemrite will also be seeing his first action on the court after redshirting last year. Of the 5 returning players who participated last year, 2 are also walkons. If all 9 of the new scholarship players we have signed are on the team in the fall, it will be LU's largest signing class ever.
