True, if you want the best venue and most fans. However, Coastal obviously has a good facility, since they have hosted a regional. It would be great to find a neutral location, but that is probably a bit too over the top for KK.
There is zero excuse for having it at Winthrop based on the possibility of a "sun delay", laughable.

Winthrop has hosted the tournament 5 times before, and I never remember the sun delays causing as much angst as they have this year. It is a shame that WU spent a lot of money on a sun wall, and it doesn't appear to do much good...but I guess because most of those past tournaments only had 3 games per day (because of a 6 team field), that maybe the sun delays were worked around easier (though I found three different days where WU hosted the tournament w/ 4 games in a day, and I attended those, and I guess because there wasn't twitter, I don't remember so much complaining about the sun delays).

It does look bad on WU, no matter who is at fault with the sprinkler situation...

That has to be the main difference, WEF. There's just no way getting around the sun with four games. With three, you could go at 10 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and be fine.

Uhhhhhhhhhh, there's just a LITTLE BIT more than that to hosting a conference tournament.

To say Ballcoach is shortsighted would be an insult to the term...the amount of logistics involved with not just grounds, but sports information, statistics, audio and video, getting hotel rooms for all the other school officials not to mention the teams themselves...need I continue?

Why do you regularly feel the need to belittle other posters on this site? It wears me out.

I wish you used the same veracity to defend on my behalf Sum...anyway, I get on ballcoach so much because he has a very small picture view of Liberty and situations that affect Liberty on the athletics side, and it shows when he comments.

A baseball tournament is not rocket science . the tournament could have been moved to LU in less than half the time it is taking to dry the field in Rock Hill.

What about all the fans, media, Conferemce personell? Are there even enough hotel rooms available in Lynchburg this weekend?

Add to that calling in all the grounds crew and necessary operations staff for the baseball stadium at LU, many of whom probably are either working other jobs or may have even left town (if they were students) and no doubt a host of other factors that cant be addressed in just 24 hours (less than that really). its not rocket science, but it certainly is not as easy as you think it is ballcoach

There are a lot of very talented people in Lynchburg who could have pitched in to help with tournament.

But bottom line is, the Big South should have never put tournament in Rock Hill.

Was the tarp covering infield when sprinklers came on ? If not, it should have been.

Hate to be negative, but we are down 4-0 and I don't see us winning this game. Fulghum can't get his breaking ball over and his fastball is like a BP pitch. The HP pitcher is throwing strikes, with good movement. Don't see us scoring 4+ on him.
The BSC video production is horrible. Makes me appreciate what we have at LU, that much more.

Siez comes up with the bases loaded and 2 outs, swings at the first pitch and grounds to first base. The previous two batters were walked and HBP respectively. Hate to see that, but I understand him being anxious. HP pitcher was quite wild in that inning and looks like he is throwing all fastballs. Hoping we can solve him soon.

I think we peaked when we got ranked... Just before the 9 day vacation. These guys have been playing like a middle of the pack Big South team as of late.
