Great win by the guys. I'm not too worried about the attendance. They will come, just keep winning. As far as the 500 Faith in the Furnace members, and where are they. I am one, and haven't been able to make it to a game yet. I will be there Saturday. I really hate living two hours away. I miss these games so bad.

im sorry i missed a good effort by the guys. i had a work commitment i could not put off. as far as the attendance, im glad the sutdents are taking academics so important, but geez, it is two hours, and you are young and have tons of energy!! the guys need the support. the fans can be the sixth man and really help this team when tournament time comes. as far as the haters go, it does not matter if we win, you still wont be happy until D is gone. you so called "fans" should not even come out with that type of attitude. i like what i see from the guys thus far and i think we will continue to improve.

I think that Dunton deserves some credit from the haters. Which I sometimes am myself. I realize it is just a few good wins, but come on. We're breaking the press perfectly, we're scoring off set plays. Good offensive playcalling. I like that clearout right hand drive for Justin Holland coach has used in the last two games. The defense seems to be in sync. We look motivated. All of those things point to good coaching. Good job coach.

I think part of the attendance issue is just that the students are just not seeing enough of the basketball team or Coach Dunton. Not to compare to football but Coach Rocco was talking in convo with passion almost every week this and last semester. I absolutely love Faith in the Furnace and they are marketing that well, but just to see someone talking with passion up front would do wonders in my opinion. Obvously wins will help, but after our season last year plus the football hype there wasnt a whole lot of room for basketball promotion, so people arent as excited about it. Coach Dunton in my opinion has done wonders this season compared to last and even though we may not be where we want to be, after watching games this season everyone will agree we are a ton better. Persistance with marketing, and a passion will get more students there.

With the game last night it was really cool to see Jonathon(not SJ) leading a cheer at the end of the game. I LOVE THAT GUY!!!

In other words, the students flame club is a joke.

They had about 50 seats roped off and maybe 15 students sitting in it. That's our "student" section where they should be put down closer to make more noise. It will never happen as long as they keep that section closed off.

I too have been labeled a hater at times but right now I am very impressed with the last 2 wins the team has been able to put up. You have to win your home games agains't competition that is at our level and we have done exactly that and we should kick the crap out of Longwood on Saturday (I will be disappointed if we did not do so). The best part is I believe the best is yet to come with Dwight Brewington entering the picture. With him, Larry Blair, and Anthony Smith in the same backcourt with Justin Holland and BJ Jenkins, Oh the possibilities!

Has anybody discussed where Brew's minutes are going to come from? I would assume that it would come from each player giving up a little, but anybody that has seen them play, is there one person that looks to suffer the largest cutback in mins?

What is going on with Rell anyway? His minutes are sharply down and is not scoring or rebounding. It looks as if Hubbard is filling in for him and going with the 3 guard system.

that was a great second half. and another step in the right direction. i can see so many positives and to hold the last two d1 teams to 32% shooting in the second half while shooting 62% and 67% is flat incredible execution. the guys are battling every possession and bj and holland are making big defensive plays. sat should be alot of fun and then we add a big east second teamer to the mix. coach d has done a great job! all flames should be excited to see what is on the court and the talent being attracted.

It's great to see us win these games at home. I just hope we can keep up the momentum when we go on the road. We are traditionally a very poor road team.

dunton's team were 8-8 on the road previous to last year. they will win their share but road win are tough. ask kentucky, nc st, arkansas and kansas.

Actually, we were 12-29 on the road, excluding last year and including non-conference games. Last year we were 0-15. Even when we won the BSC in 04 we were 4-4 on the road in conference. I hope we can find a way to pull some road wins out.

Either way last night it was just nice to see Liberty win a game convincibly against a D-I opponent. The close to complete turnaround from last year has been great to watch, and apparently the Brew Crew is going to be even better than we are now. What a difference a year makes!
