Saw Crüe and Cooper opening night in Grand Rapids. Alice was really good but what do you expect! Crüe was beset with technical glitches through the first 2/3 of the show including broken drum kits, guitars and ear monitors. The dancers made up for it! The last 1/3 was really really good. I imagine by now they have the glitches worked out and it is a great show. Tommy has added a roller coaster twist to his spinning drum solo. I do worry Mick Mars won't make it thru the tour though.

And now for something completely different:
Billy Joel Saturday in DC

Well it was an adventure getting to the concert. Let's just say the USPS and I are going to be having a long conversation on Monday. Apparently when a package tracks as DELIVERED it's not necessarily 'Delivered'
But anyways, a nice man in the parking lot helped us find seats at a very reasonable rate. And we ended up 3rd row middle. He was good but I think Elton is better. Ironically, mthfr highlight of the concert was when 'Chainsaw The Roadir' came out and Billy played guitar to a wonderful rendition of the classic AC/DC song Highway to Hell. He toyed with the crowd before singing Piano Man, which has got to be tough for him. You write one of the most iconic songs ever, it makes you unbelievably famous.....and then you are 'condemned' to sing it the rest of your life.
Overal very solid show. It did exactly what you wanted it to do, and even a surprise Roadie tune. I would recommend it but I'm glad we paid less than 1/2 face value of one ticket for our pair!

Hall and Oates in Cville? I might have to find a babysitter.

Saw them several years ago. Great show. Friend of mine was in the men's room and someone left a VIP lanyard hanging in the stall during the show. We took it and went back stage after the show. Really nice guys. They often take requests too.

Let me know if you go. They are playing at the outside Pavillion. I'll know for sure next week if we are going
