The guys aren't the only ones swinging bats in the spring. You can follow the squad throughout the season and even get the latest on recruiting.

been nearly a month since my last rant- figured I'd take a look since I've been seeing "win" in the headlines lately

we are now 10-44, 4-20 in conf and holding down last place.

season stats here fyi: http://www.liberty.edu/wwwadmin/globals ... b1454c.htm

hitting definitely has picked up, pitching still seems to be the problem

in conf we have since been swept by Coastal, Radford, and GWebb- took one from WU and actually won the Presby series.

we are mid to bottom pack in most offensive categories, dead last in both ERA and Fielding %, but conversely the best in strikeouts, so there's actually a positive

hoping LU Softball continues to grow under the new coaching staff. New digs, new coaches, new recruits: better results (?)

Weve been down to Brittingham, DiMartino and Nordan (who wasn't originally a pitcher for us) for much of the season so pitching woes don't shock me. The latter two both graduate and we get the injured ones back. add in our signees and that probably gets us back in the arms race for 2015.

I am excited about the future. I am going out on a limb and predict within 5 years Flames will be ranked in NFCA Top 25.
