Are you sure you don't mean the "driving range"? (They ended up putting a community garden on a very small fraction of that land.

Eventually, there will be a bridge across 460 to Odd Fellows Road. The site is a mile away from the Odd Fellows Rd interchange, and not related. I think LU might have a couple of contractors who are allowed to get ahead or we need the lumber money. Don't forget, an administration member along with a local crane company owner are "managing" construction jobs, so we'll never know. At least the money stays local!

In other words: cheap labor.

Its cool man, we all struggle with bitterness. No worries and Happy Easter!

It's kind of dumb that they didn't do it in the first place.Widening that small section of Greenview is completely unnecessary. Take that money and improve on Airport Rd by adding a third lane for right turns at the Leesville intersection.

And I would hope upgrading the intersection is part of the plan...dropping off and picking up the kiddos at daycare during rush hour makes me mega loath that area. Of the two, I'd rather have the intersection upgraded with that third right turn lane on airport. Just a congested area of Lynchburg regardless.
UVALibertyFan wrote:From what I have seen improving the intersection is included but I have not seen a breakdown of turn lanes. Ideally there would be a left turn lane each way on Greenview and two lanes going straight each way but not sure if the space is there for that.I am at that intersection often, and I would love to see dedicated right and left turn lanes for both directions on Greenview. That said, conditions there are so bad right now IMHO that pretty much any improvement would be ... well, an improvement.
