You did call me a pervert, for giving you the definition of a word that you were improperly using. Not to mention, the definition had nothing to do with sex. Do you think, that perhaps, you might misunderstand what a pervert is?

Potentially...that does not give license for making lewd or lascivious jokes or comments, especially as someone who claims themselves a Christ follower

I draw the line at raping kids. I'm a teacher after all.

Im glad somebody did...but before sly has to come in here too...we move on...

Personally while I dont share the vitriol of other posters in this discussion, I do disagree with the tenor of many of Mr Barber's comments and find it unfortunate that there are some who feel that to hate the sin but love the sinner is an impossible dichotomy within their logical framework

So instead of ' dad ' you go run off to ' big brother ' geez.

I prefer to love the sinner and hate my sin. But I'm selfish like that.

So.... who is Matt Barber? Sorry, just never heard of the guy.

Okay, just read his bio at the school's website. Thought this was particularly pathetic (not that it's true, just that he felt it necessary to include it in his bio as a professor):
Setting him apart from others in his field, Barber ..... was an undefeated professional boxer, retiring in 2004. Several times prior to turning pro, he was a state and regional Golden Gloves champion, competing in the 1992 Western Olympic Trials and winning a Gold Medal in the 1993 Police and Fire World Games.

And don't bother with going to Falwell, this is a professor. There's this other dude who's in charge of academic affairs...

Yeah, kind of pathetic that "Bam Bam" decided to spend 1 paragraph of his 3 paragraph biography on this. Also, he was undefeated in his "professional" boxing career - with a 5-0 record in verified fights between 2002 and 2004 against guys who were a combined 4-25-1. 4 of those fights occurred at a Ramada Inn in Illinois. There is an unverified fight from 1994 against Tiwon Taylor which would have been Taylor's 2nd career fight. Taylor's record is listed 26-23-1 with the one draw being the fight against Barber.

Why do we attract so many puffed up self-promoters?
Will we just continue to vouch for him until he gives the school a black eye ? Or do we continue taking these small body blows, and stay in his corner ? It really is pathetic that we have a hard time getting rid of guys like this.

A lot of assumptions being made. Like that anybody's trying to get rid of him. Or that he's a big shot above reproach. Or that anybody's even paying attention to his extra curricular activities.

That may be the best deduction yet
