Not exactly a ringing endorsement but most of the writers seem to think none of the other possible members are ready to move up to FBS or if they are ready don't want to go to the Sun Belt. So if they want 12 full members AND a partner for App St they don't really have a choice.

I don't think some of the students really know the difference between FBS and FCS so I don't think they are "literally chomping at the bit" to move up but in JFJR,JB and Coach Gill's offices they are trying to come up with more ideas to make us more attractive to an FBS conference.

But I know me and a few of my high school friends can be pretty insane at games so maybe our insanity will start to rub off on the rest of the student section

Benson said no decisions were made regarding expansion at meetings held earlier this week as the Sun Belt continues to mull adding a 12th team. Benson wants a dozen for several reasons, including the desire to host a championship game in football and to have a balanced schedule in football.

League officials, school presidents, chancellors and athletic directors are scheduled to meet again in May.

The NCAA requires that FCS schools wishing to move up to FBS must declare their intention to do so by June 1. Benson has said that an FCS school is the most likely scenario.

Mini-Cuba that's a new one. I don't know where this guy did his research but it scares me that people think that the NCAA has the authority to tell members to change their policies. Guy is an idiot but it was kind of funny to read.

The ACC definitely wants this to happen, with the current Atlantic Champion vs Costal Champion setup the ACC Championship game is going to suck every year, FSU Blowout wins every year. Of course the ACC hates upsets for some reason so maybe they would like that.
Since I hate the ACC with a burning passion I want any idea they have to be shot down by anyone with a vote.

It was looking so good for a while too. But Benson is clearly a flip-flopper, if the Sun Belt keeps this crap up we could look to C-USA or AAC. They were both destroyed by either the original or new Big East and may try to get back to 14 members to try to compete with the ACC,SEC and B1G. Maybe there's some hope there, and the AAC gets more national exposure (and they still will,you think ESPN is gonna give up UCONN/Memphis/Cincinnati basketball? But if they do FOX/NBC would love to have some more conferences)
