Jacksonville State and Eastern Kentucky are likely on there as well. I'm sure JMU is on that list, but I highly doubt they would accept anything to the SunBelt. I think several SunBelt Presidents will block a Jax State invite and Eastern Kentucky is in one of the poorest parts of the country.

We might not be their favorite option, but we might be their only option.

I believe, and I definitely don't know this for sure, that Missouri State's attendance numbers are holding them back. And doesn't Lamar have financial problems?

They shou;d hold them back but frankly don't in this discussion. The thing holding them back is the JMU Factor and their hoops being a traditional strength in the MVC.

Right, but isn't there a minimum average for FBS teams? I'm pretty sure MSU only averages around 8.

There are minimum standards that the NCAA has never enforced of 15k per home game average at last twice in a 3-year span. But it is really not a significant factor as far as realignment is concerned. Missouri State does in fact average between 8- to 9-thousand in attendance every year. But Sun Belt folks would happily overlook that problem in exchange for access to MSU hoops.
