Key words.

And based on past performance in recruiting post players how can you not be skeptical?

As for the 7'2 kid if he can walk and chew gum at the same time and catch a pass. I'd be on him right away.

Now you've done it. There goes the neighborhood!

Our track record with recruiting post players is shaky at best. Bringing in a 6'10" player who looked good at LU camp is :dontgetit Have you seen the caliber of players at LU Camp? And AAU is always shadier than a Mangrove field so what is it that gives everyone confidence? I'm absolutely positive he is a great kid with a tremendous family and upbringing. I'm also positive he is a College level player. But a D1 kid? A kid who is going to come in and be an anchor for us in the post? The kind of player that gets us over the hump to be perennial competitors? :dontgetit
AAU is a better barometer for D1 talent than HS ball. And news flash, not every single player that gets recruited to any school is expected to be an anchor or one that will get you over the hump.
