Just looked back at the season after calming down from some of the frustrations. We didn't compete for the national championship, so we were not successful. However, as I think about our losses, it amazes me how close we were to going undefeated. LU was about 3 or 4 plays and a few coaching decisions away from running the table. I was at the UR game (just dried out), and that game was one that we weren't competitive enough to win....we didn't have an answer for Ben Edwards and he owned us all night. The other losses were game management issues and struggles in the kicking game.

Man, this cool aid is delicious! Any thoughts?

That is a pretty good summary although my shoes are still wet from the Richmond game

I have to disagree with that assessment, it wasn't Ben Edwards that hurt us, not to say he didn't play a good game, but it was the 2 or 3 missed FG's, that hurt us. The game is totally different if we hit the FG in the 3rd quarter let alone after stopping them in the 4th quarter to come again and miss another FG again.

Yes, that hurt but like I said we battled back from that to miss very crucial, momentum type kicks. I think the way we continue on in the game is different if we hit those kicks especially seeing as how the weather was so bad, let alone it was #2 the smallest guy on the field that blocked it.

LU had a game scheduled with UVA, but the Hoos "backed out". I guess they thought LU would beat them.

As for the Sargin Rankings, LU should have been ranked ahead of UVA. The hoos only won 2 games.

I too was glad LU was ahead of Richmond. I think Rocco took a step backward leaving LU to go to Richmond. Still have not figured out why he left LU.
