I really don't get people sometimes.

Today was a very good win for the team. They played great.

You know what that got us? A share of the big south title. Now, where I come from when you have the same record as another team, but they beat you, it's called second place. Running around celebrating like you just won something seems kind of hollow and inappropriate honestly.

Celebrate the win today because it was a good one.

Celebrate the championship? Give me a break.

What I don't get is disregarding a co-championship. Both teams went 4-1 and in regard to the league they should both be able to claim a co-championship. That said, CCU clearly deserves the auto bid based on that screwy night and finish. Why do the two have to be in conflict?

It doesn't really mean anything without the auto-bid, that's why.

We ended the season very, very strong. Met my expectations I had before the season started. I am happy about that, but come on this whole sharing titles with a team that beat us is a bit ridiculous. If the shoe was on the other foot and we were tied with Coastal and we had won the head to head matchup and they were claiming a share of the title it would annoy the living crap out of me. Just sayin...

+1. And I would like to add that if this were only say the 1st or 2nd time this happened to us it would be one thing. Something that we either built towards or used as a stepping stone. There was a time when this would and should have been a big deal, but not now. I love what HCTG brings to the table and firmly believe this won't be an issue for us next year.

You know what sucks the most about these kinds posters? They register, say their piece, and then disappear forever. Maybe this guy will be different, but if you are going to come on here and call people out at least hang around to explain yourself or attempt to actually understand where people are coming from. If you come on this board dedicated to liberty athletics and somehow read into things so much that you really believe the majority of the board loves when we lose then I really question your intellect. I just don't get it.

While I am glad for the Co-Championship and the way we finished the season, we should have refused to touch the "Big South Champions" trophy because it means something-next-to-nothing and it's not real. Just like most NHL teams that refuse to touch the Clarence S. Campbell Bowl or the Prince of Wales Trophy (Sid the Kid and the Pens being a rare exception)...and those teams actually MADE the playoffs! Take the photo op without touching the trophy. It's nice, but it's not what we set out to do at the beginning of the season.
