The guys aren't the only ones swinging bats in the spring. You can follow the squad throughout the season and even get the latest on recruiting.

Here we GO. LU Softball
I am planning on being in the stands and I am going to pay the top price
no more CheapSeats
At softball games. 8)

How long will it take to get assistant coaches? They should have a lot of resumes for the Head Coaching spot? Maybe one of them wants to be a part of a top program?

Should not take very long to finalize coaching staff. Coach Richardson probably already knows who she wants as assistants.

Key thing now is get new stadium built, so that it will pay dividends in recruiting.

Hopefully LU will get some SEC teams on schedule in near future, maybe even some PAC 10 also.

Absolutely LOVE the headline of this article:
Softball legend Dot Richardson accepts coaching post at Liberty
FRANK JOLLEY | Staff Writer frankjolley@dailycommercial.com
“...I am extremely excited and deeply humbled for the opportunity the Lord has presented to be a part of the Liberty family, as the head softball coach,” Richardon said. “The Liberty Way of ‘Training Champions for Christ’ speaks to my soul and defines the true definition of coaching and working with student-athletes. As the head coach for Liberty Softball, I can say without hesitation, that I and my staff a r e committed to serving others with the focus and goal to glorifying the Lord through the gifts and opportunities He has given each of us and our players.

“I invite all to follow and enjoy Liberty Flames softball and experience with us what the Lord has in store for building champions for Him both on and off the field.”

The recruiting camp this past weekend was fantastic. The new coaches coming to LU has definitely started a buzz about Liberty softball. There were 150 girls at the camp coming from all over the country. The talent level at the camp was much higher than in the past with several girls certain to be recruited by SEC and the better ACC teams. Maybe the most impressive feature of the camp was having AD Jeff Barber there and speaking to the players and their parents. The AD told the crowd that these coaches, the new stadium and raising the players' level of play accordingly will make Liberty a frequent participant in the College Softball World Series in Oklahoma City with the goal being to win a National Championship! That got all of the girls and parents fired up to see that Liberty is all in for softball. Another great feature of the camp was the involvement of every player on the LU softball team. The current players were extremely friendly and helpful to the recruits. By the end of the day if there were any of those talented recruits who didn't want to play for Liberty they were very few. All of the 2014 commitments were there and are solid in their commitments and wanting to be a LU right now!
