Due to some unforeseen events I wasn't able to watch the game. Sounds like they played well overall and the crowd was great.

I LOVE the red helmets.

I was really impressed with the crowd. Most stayed to the end even with the outcome determined. Great atmosphere. And I'm not so critical of the onside kick. It almost worked and was kind of a fluke the guy got it cleanly and picked up the yards he did. Besides without that we wouldn't have seen what kind of hit Lunsford could lay on someone. I was impressed.

Our run game still is sputtering but the other facets more than made up for the shortcomings. I'm not sure what it is but our O-line seems to be really struggling run-blocking. All three of our backs who scored tonight all had guys in their face as they were taking the hand-offs. We will need to improve on that as the competition picks up in the coming weeks.

This.

Not sure how they looked on tv, but live they were awesome. The team played pretty well today. Our running game had some struggles, but hopefully Allen's return will help with that. Peterson is a game changer at wideout. Also, it was great to see Fogg have a couple picks. The more confidence he plays with, the better. Student section was loud, as usual. Already looking forward to next weeks game against Morgan State!

I'm not sure how good Monmouth is supposed to be but we looked good.
Looking at the final score I guess that onside kick call wasn't that bad. I liked the call because A) your defense was playing great so if they recovered no big deal B) what are the odds an Up man built like me would take the ball and run C) now other teams have to think about that.
I'm hearing crickets on those who thought Woodrum was the wrong choice last year.
Our D looks great although a little short on one side of the DB's
Our O Line looks to be having some issues adjusting to the new scheme. But if last year showed us anything, its that we can improve a lot during the year
I think TG is solid on every level
I couldn't decide if I liked the red or white coaching shirts better
Already mention I gave the Uni's an 8.5. The helmets would look better with the Eagle instead of Cartoon Sans LU and if they were matte red
Really enjoyed the pre and post game chauffeured golf cart service to our car. Very nice touch. Felt sorry for the golf cart
The stadium was packed. The student side was great!
Don't Stop Believing should be played during the intermission between the 3rd and 4th qtr. that way the students can sing the whole song and it will give them an energy recharge
Liked the music selection at 1/2 time. (See game thread)
Finally, the nacho cheese was fairly warm but I did not go nacho. Rather a dipping sauce for the fries and chic fingers

Wish they had an 'Official Apparel' shop in stadium. Universal T's is nice but they are missing a GIGANTIC revenue stream by not have a store that sells apparel et al. But that's been a battle going back at least 20 years so.....

helmets looked pink on tv (Dish net)

well not totally but def not as red as I'm sure they are.

PH may be right- they'd be better matte finish. still (and always will) like the white better.

decent game until we took the foot off the gas in the 3rd/4th with the subs. I just dislike it when we give up yds or tds late but you do have to get the 2nd/3rd string reps at game speed.

PH that Monmouth team is basically partial scholly- they have @ 40 kids that are paid for and their skill pos guys are good.

obviously no depth tho. Similar to us v. FBS. 1st string guys are close but after that it drops off.

happy to see the WRs playing well but the run game was just not good. Richmond and Coastal will blow that up if we don't figure something out. 3yd avg? come on man.

the D is just very very good. Much better tackling exp open field chances. and the picks speak for themselves. We had a 3rd called back for interference but the replay missed it so I don't know what happened.

enjoyed watching it without finding it online, via xbox, or the over the air signal outta Allentown.

Said that he was called for inside arm tug, as he was playing the ball. That would have been the fourth INT on the night. Not bad staying humble, and striving to learn everyday and get better.

Yeah the running game will need to be more productive as the season goes on. It seems like they maybe finally figured out the rotation up front so another game to build off of that will hopefully result in measurable improvement.

^^^^What this guy said
I think that's evident, consistency up front should help them.
Apparently not to some. They are thinking its a running back issue when its more of an O Line issue. Those silly rabbits probably think Trix are for everyone and not just kids

Whos Hot:

Young Receivers - These two guys have shown the ability to make huge plays.
D-Line, This group is deep, they are great at pass block and run D.
Special Teams - We are through two games, and we havent had any miscues or scores against on special teams.

Whos Not :

Run Blocking: This group has done a great job in Pass Protection, but they are not strong enough to get the initial push running.
C Richardson- only got 11 carries. I know that it was a blow out, but he looks like our best option by far.

I'd add DJ to the RB discussion. His quickness and allusiveness might come in handy if defenders get into the backfield quickly. Of course the return of Aldreakis this week shakes everything up.
