Puzzling to me how woodrum could get player of he year, but not have anyone else mentioned with him as an all conf selection on offense. If he is handing the ball off because of no wr weapons that is not going to get you POY, IMO. He has to hv some weapons around him to get that kind of recognition.

Picking a WR with an inexperienced QB throwing to him for POY is pretty shaky, but only a bit moreso than an all conference QB who has no experience in his WR corps.

You can´t tell me there are 5 offensive Linemen in the BSC better than Malcolm Boyd, No way. Also, Fogg being picked as a DB but not as a KR? He made preseason ALL AMERICAN teams at KR!

I'll give them Cheatwood from CCU. I certainly would think boyd should be all conference, but I reckon the fact that he was injured played into it.

I'm rather surprised to see G-W receiving so much love.
I don't know if it us 'receiving love' as you put it, or just folks thinking we are the best of the 'other four'. We play VMI and PC both on the road. Even with cupcakes Point and Warner on the schedule, if somehow McCray comes in and pulls out a .500 record, he should get votes for coach of the year. I am thinking a productive 5-7 right now.

Todays picks and rankings should give LU players a good reason to crank up the intensity on the field this year. Sets up the Coastal game to be a soul searching experience!

IMHO GW has always done better in terms of individual honors in the BSC than they have on the field. I don´t know why. Maybe it´s at least partly legit, and they have had a few outstanding players every year, but are lacking overall talent. The best player on a bad defense will often put up big numbers. In spite of having some struggles, with SB gone and Monmouth still a question mark, I think they are the 3rd best PROGRAM in the BSC

You talk about winning like that on here and then go talk about how you think it could go either way and will be close on other boards. Which is it?

Woodrum mentioned Richardson in the interview with the Big South host during media day. He said that he brings a different dynamic of athleticism and quickness to the backfield. It was brief, but he mentioned it with other comments on the running backs. He also pointed out Des Rice and how much he's improved.

I believe BJ may have been supplanted for the title of FlameFans ¨Master of the Obvious¨.

Having said that, the fact that the BSC coaches and press picked CCU over us despite their dismal track record at the Bill should really fuel our guys fire.
