To me common sense would dictate Houston. Since I'm not sure Dwight has any of that, I think we'll see a sign and trade with Golden State that they'll regret for 5-10 years.

And the Warriors signed Andre Iguodala to a 4-year, 48 million contract so they are out of the running. Good get for them, but in a couple years or so that contract isn't going to be looking too pretty.

Well apparently that does not take them out of the running for Howard. Reading they still have some financial flexibility if they can find someone to take Bogut. That would be a wild lineup of Curry, Klay Thompson, Iggy/Barnes, David Lee, and Howard. Even if they don't get Howard, a healthy Bogut is pretty darn good. They could potentially make the finals with either lineup, Iggy gives them that perimeter defender they needed. Klay Thompson served that role admirably, but it really hurt his offensive production at times.

Oh and the Warriors traded off Biedrins, Jefferson, some other guy and some draft picks to Utah to make the Iggy signing happen, and that means Utah will have to renounce its rights to Millsap, so Millsap will be joining a new team next season. The Warriors also had to renounce the rights to Jarrett Jack. Not a big deal, other than the outside/three point shooting, Iggy can do all the same things just as well or better.

Adrian Wojnarowski reporting that before the Golden State deals, Dwight Howard had narrowed his choices to the Lakers and Rockets.

Iggy going to GS could change things though, I've read Iggy and Howard are on extremely good terms with each other.

Sounds like Omer Asik is just about demanding a trade now, being tossed around he could be dealt in a sign-and-trade to get Josh Smith. That would be a scary good defensive lineup at he 4 and 5. Chris Broussard indicating it would be Lin and Asik fo JSmoove. So who would play PG then?

I said that at the time and I am fairly certain there were people on this board that said I was crazy for saying so...between this trade and robbing the bucks of Tobias Harris for JJ I am really liking the new Magic front office....we'll see how things pan out this off season and next...but things are setting up perfectly

Things are definitely looking up for them. That's a pretty solid rebuild on the fly.

Was that before or after you said this?

Morey is looking rather smart at the moment as well here in Houston. But then again, it is July.

Hearing some talk about Asik/Lin to Atlanta for Josh Howard in a sign and trade.

He's waffling over the extra $30m the Lakers can give him with the 5th year. As Darren Rovell pointed out, in effect it's only a $9.3m difference due to California income taxes that hate people who make money.

And The Lakers official Twitter account stated that Kupchak has been told that Howard will not return to LA. So I guess this mean's it is officially Houston until he changes his mind again. And Howard announced on his twitter that he will join the Rockets.

Apparently Howard wanted to personally tell the Lakers that he wasn't returning, I can respect that. But Chris Broussard took it to mean he was flip flopping, so Broussard is the clown.

In other news, Paul Millsap has signed with the Hawks. Appears they are prepared to let Josh Smith walk away, rather it be for nothing or a sign and trade.
