What is CAA problem with LU, hv they ever tried getting in that conf?

I believe once, in the 1990s after ECU, UR, American, etc... left. I think they tried to get Liberty and Elon, but could not guarantee a home for football (the CAA didn't sponsor football at the time) so both schools opted to stay in the Big South.

The current problem: LU is going to bolt to the first FBS conference that we can get an invite to. The CAA just lost: Georgia State and ODU to FBS leagues, plus George Mason and VCU to the A-10, and JMU may or may not be joining Conference USA. I think they want members that'll guarantee league stability.
