LUconn wrote:I hope he transfers to RichmondI would say if his issues at UVA were in the classroom, Richmond might be going from the frying pan to the fire. Norfolk State or Hampton make more sense.
BJWilliams wrote:Though made in jest, I dont think he would be able to transfer back up without having to sit out a year (which it seems he will have to do anyway). He would pretty much have to drop down to D2, 3 or NAIAActually, it is possible he could. There has been much discussion of this regarding Gunner Kiel possibly coming back to ND (with Gholston now out of the picture), and apparently NCAA rules allow it under some circumstances. For the record, Kiel says he is not interested.

So yes, technically Rocco could return but that would require the coaches and school to take him back.BJWilliams wrote:Though made in jest, I dont think he would be able to transfer back up without having to sit out a year (which it seems he will have to do anyway). I think he is better than what he's shown.
BJWilliams wrote:If he had more than a year left (plus a redshirt year), I think that transferring back to UVa would be a possibility but with him basically having a redshirt year and then 2014, he wont get that much of a shot unless he moves quick to get back into school there and even then its no guarantee what happens to him after that once thereHe can transfer back immediately. He doesn't have to sit out. That's what was discovered in the Gunner Kiel/ND discussion. Until the player who transferred actually takes part in some sort of football activity they can transfer back and be immediately eligible. Rocco should be able to step right in and play this year at UVA if they'll take him back.
