I see it as this is year two for this staff, and year one for them. They lost a lot more returning players than we did last year as well. With that being said I think this game will be decided in the fourth quarter, where we either hang on and seal it with a pic or fumble, or give it away late.

What they are trying to install and gel and find continuity with is I think same thing LU had to go thru last year. Of course everyone knows to game plan for #1 Archer, but whe they are trying to find their way, in year two we should already be there.

I am agreeing with you Forbidden. Coaching staff seems more comfortable in their roles. Staff needs to take that "Stony Brook" game approach to the whole season. Kent state will be a good out of the blocks test!

easy there TH...I dont think Torbush retiring will be the difference here. He is a good coach but youre taking away from the other coaches and the players (albeit not intentionally Im sure) with that statement. If one assistant coach is the difference between pulling the upset or not, then we must be in a real bad way or something (tongue firmly planted in cheek with that one)

We'll be okay! .... Just saying I hear the Def-guys really liked him. If Ronnie says he thinks this team might be special ... it will be!

The bride and I plan on being at the game from Pittsburgh along with a bunch of friends who some have children attending Kent State. They told us they will be LU fans for that one game...

It MAY be on Fox Sports Ohio -- they do a lot of the MAC games. I'm hoping, since I'm not sure I can manage the trip to this one.

I think Akron's rights holders get first crack at the production. But I feel confident that it will be televised by someone whether it is us or an Ohio-based crew.

Alabama won another championship. A quarterback won the Heisman. Florida State won the ACC. Boise State won 11 games. Oregon blurred past the opposition in a BCS bowl. It was a year full of familiar moments, from the expected to the should-have-been expected. Then there was Kent State.

Prior to last season, Kent State was the lone FBS program with roots in the 20th century with a career winning percentage below .400 – it stood at .388, to be precise. Prior to last season, Kent State had not won more than six games since 1987. Prior to last season, Kent State was mired in a run of 32 non-winning seasons in 34 years.

Then came last season.

We’re less than two weeks away from the Big South football rouser in Charlotte, a gathering that will be a little lighter this year with the absence of Stony Brook, which has jetted off to the Colonial Athletic Association. That means it’s opponent preview time, and for Liberty and the rest of the Big South’s remaining membership, that means lots of out-of-conference games.
