That would be my guess. Turnaround all the switch hitters and keep Herring on the bench.

Controversy to start the 2nd game. CCU's lead-off man gets aboard and then the 2nd batter Joe May lays down a bunt, Fulgham (sp.) fields it and goes to throw to 1st and no one's there on the bag because the 1st base umpire blocked Aanderud's path to 1st. Toman argued the call, but they let the play stand.

Ridiculous.

Umpire interference doesn't apply to an ump getting in the way. It doesn't matter even if the ump collided with a fielder except in the case of the home plate umpire making contact with the catcher. Sounds like the correct call was made.

Frankly, I am surprised to see us win both today, like everyone else in the world. However, it is great to see us take these two. Hopefully we can get one more tomorrow.

Great job by everyone. Including the coaches.

For what it's worth, Adan's interpretation of ump interference is correct. When a ball is in play, it is always as if the ump is not there. It's no different than the puck hitting off a referees skate. It's an accident that just sometimes happens.

Great to see the guys pull off two wins today. Game 1 was ridiculously intense and game 2 felt like it was going to be the same way until the 4th inning. Even though it wasn't a packed as I had hoped, I thought the crowd was lively today. Just one more win to complete this improbable run!

I was more happy with the Toman flop on the check swing a few pitches latter. I thought they were going to pull out the defibrillator paddles :D
