I guess forbidden would agree with the coach who said you can't win with Christians because they're too nice :(

The day LU football starts playing like Miami is the day I stop supporting LU football. We're better people than that, or at least we should be.

Once again at no time was that ever the point that i was trying to make. The only thing I was asking was what would the perception of LU b if they played with more of a attitude, a Miami. Being Christian is not a bad thing in any shape form or fashion so please don't assume that's what I was saying.

It seems that hard nose football with some swagger (emotion) can be construed as being to brash, and takin as a sign of being disrespectful, and its not.

Is this guy shocked we don't want to model ourselves after a program that crumbled as quickly as it was built??

Should i be surprised that some of you if not all of you woukd be the type that probably feel like everyone shoukd get participation trophies too . Once again the question was not about modeling the program after theirs, i talked about their on field play. Its quite evident with the type kid that LU goes after. Your gonna tell me bernie kosar was a qb u woukdnt want to hv becuz of his swag, or even a kid like warren sapp at the time. Your only fooling yourself if you believe that, but they both were leaders just maybe the vocality was different. At the end of the day its about a "mindset" you hv to hv when you line up across from the guy in front of you. I want you to know that my plan is to dominate you from snap one. Thats the mindet instilled in my kid, be better than the person, that us in front of you, and if you can dominate, hv fun doing it.

I can think of a lot of QBs I'd rather have over Bernie Kosar. But again you are using possibly the worst example available to compare a team too. Do we want a team that gets in on the field fights like The U? Nope. Do we want WR'S that that taunt and make sexual gestures? Nope.
Was Barry Sanders flamboyant? Peyton Manning? AP? Rod Woodson? See much better examples. And they can probably type using vowels :)

As i stated i am not saying do alot of the "extra" things that they did, they hv alot more rules in place now than then. You can play hard without all the side show stuff and thats not what im talking bout either. Im talking from a physical style of stand point. I agree that some of the things they did were totally unnecesary, but back then u could and they did. I guess for me personally i wanna see more attitude from both sides of the ball. I only see a dislike and i wanna knock ur head off type mentality frkm sigmon on D, noone from the O plays with the michael irvin "playmaker" since of urgency. A get me the ball ill put the team on my back style. The guy i fig to do that ia now suspendex from team

I'm dizzy with the circular argument you are making

So you want the side show stuff or you don't? You want players to play hard or you want the side show? Then you reference a guy who is in trouble for off the field issues......like The U.

Ok, i messed that up a bit, i plain and simple want some guys that hv a nasty attitude on the field, in between those white lines. Yes, you can be a totally different guy off the field but singletary like on it. No, all the side show antics may not be necessary, like the sexual dances, but a cpl ocho like ones or even a jacoby jones ones is not the end of the world, but my point is not the off field drama but i woukd love to have the on field persona. People can say they hated deion sanders all day but when he was at florida state u watched for his on field performance, nothing off field. The reason people didnt like his play was because he was making them plays vs their teams. Woukd u be mad if k. Fogg was back on a PR put his hands up to get the crowd pumped up goin crazy then took a punt back for a td vs. montana, for ex., would u say hes a showoff and wouldnt want him on the team because of that style of on field display.

Your a joke dude(an upper deck shot of miami when they werent good) that def wasnt back when they were good and since ive had the experience of playing in the orange bowl im sure even tho the fans are spread out in that isolated picture, if you put all the people together in a section or to im sure it woukd still be more full than LU's best game ever

I'm pretty sure you can see more than the upper deck there. And, yes, it was meant as a joke. That said, your comments in this thread are ridiculous.

But...but...but wait forbidden PLAYED in the Orange Bowl, he knows more then all of us combined! The picture of the empty stadium is a direct result of the infamous days at The U.
Playing with emotion is not a bad thing. Playing out of control, which you saw a lot of during The U days

I guess ur right, they are how could i ever be as knowledgable as some of you supposed football gurus in here. And your right I did play there cpl times but thats what I did and it's not about me anymore. I am past tense my son is present, so thats where ill keep it. I am only here because he chose here otherwise I would be elsewhere, ifyou ask a question around here people want to take pot shots here and there and i dont hv time for that. I know the mentality I played with and I know the fire I woukd prefer he play with. I am bere to support him and his school and ill leave it at that. Thx
