the mock draft guys are generally so horrific, they make meteorologists look like prophets. Jon gruden seemed to be right on alot of the night.
i have to give the nfl credit. The draft is for the most part unwatchable for my tastes. i don't care what these guys squat, what their senior bowl looked like, what small rodent skeletons you can reconstruct from disecting their poo. just tell me where the notables went, what my team drafted and about the only analysis i need is a letter grade but even that is totally arbitrary. but the nfl has done a fantastic job of marketing this boring as crap event. the average fan doesn't know a single thing about 1/2 of the players picked in the first round (that may be even too high), hardly anyone in the 2nd and the 3rd-7th are filled with people from colleges many have even heard of. The impact that any of these people have on their team is many times undecidable until YEARS down the road. YET, their ratings are fantastic. 10 years ago, the only people that cared about trudging through the entire weekend (when it was 2 days) were complete diehards. nobody cared. now its so marketed and storied up, that they've been able to draw it out over 3 days and most just eat it up.
and i like what my bills did. ej manual? we'll see but those qb's this year are a crapshoot. historically, i would of probably liked to see barkley (white/prostyle) but thats not worked well for USC qb's the last few years. Now that that style of qb is flourishing a bit more in the nfl, i like the pick more than i would of 5 or 6 years ago.
