Chaz, in the Chapel section I have a thread on prayer regarding conference alignment. It's been there for a while. We are not anti-prayer.

This thread is really about alignment news...when there is no news, then we speculate and sometimes get sarcastic.

The clip is an example of me walking into a conversation that I want no part of. I came in for realignment news and got a bag full of something else. I thought I was on the Sun Belt board for a second.

I think the problem is that sometimes ppl do try make things about religion and god and what not. Ppl chose the religion they felt was best suited or them, and whether right or wrong you can't try n force what you believe onto other ppl., and that's the way it comes acros to some others.

LU will get the call up, not because god says so but because ppl will c them for what they bring to the conference, n not b as close minded as others had been. At least that's the way I feel about it.

see, this is where I will honestly say I choose not to even try and debate this with you or anyone else. I totally understand what you are referencing, yes God controls things not debating that, but what I have a very hard time ascertaining is something that goes like this, one of my closest friends who just three wks ago, was just shot in the face and killed by a "stray" bullet that was meant to supposedly for just the bldg. windows, but instead ,because he was helping a patron leave an unruly scene, heard shots fired turned around and was hit, your gonna tell me that was god, NO that was just an act of violence, that GOD would not have perped on anyone, because he is a GOD of love and peace.

Please forgive me if I choose not to want to enter a religious war with anyone, for the most part, there is a difference in sharing what you know and trying to tell someone else they are wrong for not wanting to share the same views as the person speaking to them.

This board is ultra tame compared to the Sun Belt board. There IS a difference between rudeness, obnoxiousness and sarcasm. How would you prefer we communicate with each other on here?

I personally enjoy sarcasm. It works for me, which is why I, not Sabbath Boy, am the King of Sarcasm.

For the most part we are just poking fun of eachother. I don't sit here in my house with any mean intent. I enjoy laughing at life and things like sports, tv, messageboards, etc provide that outlet. I know you mean well, but to take anything we say seriously is simply misguided. This has just been going on for so long that it has gotten to the point where its simply comical.
