Well he is the best HS prospect since LeBron James, and I've read where knowledgeable people say that he would be starting in the NBA for any team that didn't have an All-Star caliber player at SF. I think that counts as absolute stud.

I think he is likely to end up at either Kentucky or UNC. FSU and Kansas make no sense to me based on what he and his coach have said are important. I will give him credit though, he has written the book on how to keep information secret during the recruiting process. No one outside the family knows anything and anyone who does hasn't slipped up any at all.

He's coming to Liberty.

I heard it from a guy who heard it from a guy who read it in a blog post by a guy who knows Wiggins' stepbrother's aunt's drycleaner. It's a done deal.

:I chortle audibly.:
Sadly, even as a joke, that line of reasoning is more intelligent than what I have heard from fans of schools not even on his lists of finalists who think they are going to get Wiggins.

I wouldn't read a whole lot into it even though one obviously can. He was still stuck in Portland yesterday because of flight cancellations and delays after the Nike Hoops Summit, so he didn't cancel the visits until early yesterday when he figured out he wouldn't be able to get home for the first visit. The last day to have in-home visits is Wednesday. So the earliest he would be able to get home is today, and I assume he wouldn't want to deal with coaches today, so that would mean having to meet with three coaches all on Wednesday. That's a lot of coach BSing to put up with in one day!

This. People around him are saying he is exhausted from all the all-star game travel and is sick of the recruiting process. I have a feeling because of that he will announce a decision very shortly after he finishes the round of phone calls with Self, Roy, and Hamilton.

I'm guessing like everyone else, but I will be as shocked as I have ever been if he chooses FSU. That school makes zero sense from anything he or Rob Fulford (his HS coach) have said are important to Wiggins. I think the only reason they are even still on the list is to simply placate the parents. Kansas doesn't exactly make a whole lot of sense either, but it's world's more logical than FSU.

I think (or at least selfishly hope) he chooses Carolina because it will be a little easier for him to stand out there. At Kentucky, he'd be battling their other top recruits for the spotlight. Sure, UNC has some very good players, but Kentucky's going to be loaded next year.

 Of course, I can't say much as a Carolina fan because someone will throw in a comment about no-show classes.

I don't buy that being the bigger stud at UNC than at Ky matters as much. Talent is talent, and he obviously has it. Doesn't matter what he averages or how many looks he gets. For that reason, I think he goes to Ky, making it the greatest signing class in history.

And then he leaves for the NBA after 1 year...2 tops
