The cell phone companies have confirmed that service was never shut down, the towers were just bogged down with too many calls. I've also confirmed with a few people in Boston that they never lost service today.

At this point the thing I find most disconcerting is that nobody has claimed responsibility. I don't know whether that means it was just a small part of something bigger or it was some domestic tool acting solo to try and get some point across.

I'm with you. I've heard everything from Al Quiada to Tea Party to IRA. I'm convinced the authorities know, but are just waiting. I guess they already used the 'its because of a youtube video' excuse

All I can say is that from personal experience, and that of my family members, we were not able to make calls for about 20 or minutes.

That makes sense. The phone systems got overloaded with people calling and texting right after the blast.

What they tell the public and what is reality are 2 different things on occasion.

I'm just glad Sen Elizabeth Warren was at this AM press conference. I hope she can get some of her distant relatives to track them

The administration , I fear, would really like to see this be an act of domestic terrorist and are aiming their investigation accordingly. I'm just finding it difficult to believe that something this public and somewhat coordinated hasn't had someone step forward.

I mean, I'm sure it was a peaceful, tolerant, sweet adherent to a religion of peace. Of course, if it is, we all know its not terrorism, just an episode of workplace violence, sort of like the Fort Hood guy.

But honestly who really cares. The Republicans want it to be a Muslim, the Democrats want it to be a white supremacist. Lets wait until we find out for sure. But statistics typically don't lie.

They covered that base when they searched the apartment of a Saudi National here on a student visa. Next.

In that sense they were analogous to the pipe bombs that killed two and injured 100 in 1996 at Atlanta’s Centennial Park during the Olympics.

The fact that the target was an event of great significance to Boston but not particularly significant to the wider world could indicate that the bomber was a local or at least a native of the United States. The explosions occurred on April 15, tax day, which could be a further indication of a domestic connection.

But the bombs were not directed against a government building or institution, which is often a hallmark of disaffected, lone-wolf domestic terrorists, noted some terrorism analysts. And the style of the attack, in which one explosion was closely followed by another, mimics that used by numerous groups in the Middle East.

One government official told the Los Angeles Times that his guess would be “self-radicalized Islamic extremists from the area.”

The Media wants a suspect. Of course so does everyone else. There are only two reasons why someone who did this to NOT come forward by now. It's why I believe they already know who is responsible

Correct. The media knows. They don't want to say, because, surprise... his name has the word Hassan in it. Hmmmmm...
