He only has one year left and has used his redshirt year, so the only thing I can figure is he is graduating and using the ¨master´s program loophole¨ He averaged 15ppg at Stetson last season, so I have to think he is looking to move up a level. Maybe a Gator? He is a former AAU teammate of Kenny Boynton.
Chris PErez would have zero shot at consistent PT next year. Florida is going to be one heck of a team next year with what they have coming back along with their top notch recruiting class.

Thanks for that link though. THat is clutch. I hadn't heard Josh Davis wanting to transfer, and available immediately? That's going to be one heck of a get for wherever he goes. That guy can play some serious ball. Him and Rodney Purvis would be the prize pieces in the transfer recruiting world it appears.

And Trey Ziegler is transferring again? Guy is a junior and already transferred once, must be a headcase. He threw away his shot a going to the NBA when he transferred out of CMU.

Florida is just something I threw out there because he is from FL and the connection to Boynton. Also, I don´t see a point in his transferring again if it is a ¨lateral¨ move. My guess is he will be looking for a major program that can use his skills.

Of course there is also the possibility that he actually wants to pursue a master´s degree that is not available at Stetson.

Could be...but you can be a good kid and not be the right fit philosophically for a school (PH's attempt at humor notwithstanding)

Setting aside serial killer humor, does anyone know if we are even on Jesperson's radar?

Virginia had one of the stranger NCAA tournament resumes this past season, and its seven sub-100 losses eventually left it out of the field. Next season, though, the Cavaliers were expected to take the next step.

Tony Bennett's crew took a slight hit on Monday, though, when starter Paul Jesperson announced he was transferring.

"I would really like to thank my coaches, teammates and all of my supporters for the opportunity I had at UVa," Jesperson said in a release. "They made my time here unforgettable and I'm extremely grateful for that. I wish them the best and I'm looking forward to continuing my college career at my new school."

Jesperson started 33 games this past season, averaging 4.7 points and 2.2 rebounds. He shot 37 percent from 3-point range, although he scored just nine total points in his final five games.

As I said, just because someone is a "good kid" doesnt necessarily mean he would fit. I mean we dont really know much about him other than he can play D-I basketball. If he is a problem case off the court (we dont know for certain if he is or not), I don't think Layer is going to take a chance on him in what is a contract year.

Actually being a contract year would encourage you to take risks. On a side note, does this mean they didn't extend his contract?
