I hope that this is a wake up call for him and it used for good.

Needless to say, he has no place on this football team ever again. There are bigger things to worry about in life then a football game. (which is exactly what I said when a certain someone ran into legal issued and made the entire football program look silly, lets hope that is in our past)
I have a good feeling that Gill runs a tighter ship then other coaches we have had.
...and no matter the outcome, I feel good about that.

Sure he has had some bumps on the way but robbery? Trust when I say that devil is a lair .. You all have heard the story of the boy who cried wolf!! That's all I will say

Aldreakis was my neighbor last year, and he always seemed like a nice guy. I would like to believe he is innocent, but with what happened last year with Asa, I'm just going to sit back and watch this story unfold.

I sincerely hope you are right and agree there is a tendency to consider someone with a prior ¨track record¨ guilty until proven innocent.

As far as wrong place and wrong time is concerned, there is still a personal responsibility issue. Why was he in that place at that time? Was that a situation a student athlete representing LU should have placed himself in? I´m not so sure we will see Aldrekis on the field again, even if charges are dropped.

I didn't read anything resembling slander.

what I posted is a matter of public record: as are criminal complaints, which would detail the charges as well as basis for the warrant.

Dude, this is the 3rd time in 2 years that somebody is telling us to have faith that there is information we don't know about that makes this ok. Guess what the end result was of the first 2 incidents. That's right, there was nothing that changed the outcome. You said it perfect about the boy who cried wolf.

Agreed...but this is the second time that AA has ended up in a situation like this, and just when he was coming off a breakout 2012 campaign and probably a favorite for first team preseason all-conference at RB. Now, especially if there is a conviction, he may be lucky to get a job at all out of school. I am hoping that he can get his life straight and move forward with his life

Football games are won or lost as a team and you can't let one drag the team down. I'm all about second chances, he had more than one .... he will be missed out there. Hope he sticks around and earns his degree and gets the rest of his life right. Aldreakis best of luck, you're young. Better things lie a head. It's up to you!

This is a terrible story and I really hope his name gets cleared. In the mean time can we stop labeling him a repeat offender. Three years ago the kid got laid and had a beer, something that almost every college student in the country is guilty of. He violated school rules and he was punished accordingly. Lets not be so high and mighty and treat the kid like he's Pac Man Jones.

I was referring to the fact that this is the second time he was suspended from the team nyblue. I hope this works out for all involved but when you have been suspended once before, its generally not a good idea to put yourself in a situation for it to happen again

I hear you .... I defended Asa until the end ..... it's a frustrating situation. Have complete confidence in Gill to do what's best.

Not sounding too much like wrong place/wrong time...
Lynchburg, VA - Charges are moving forward against the Liberty Flames running back who was suspended last month for a "violation of team policy."

It turns out Aldreakis Allen was arrested in late March on charges of attempted robbery and malicious wounding.

Wednesday, a Lynchburg judge forwarded the charges to a grand jury.

Prosecutors say Allen was at an off campus party when he tried to take Cory Reed's wallet because Reed allegedly owed another guy money.

Reed wouldn't give it to him, and says Allen then punched him so hard it caused facial fractures and a detached retina.

The grand jury will hear the case in June.

I have no inside knowledge but those who do seem to be very confident in the outcome. And these are not the same folks with the positive vibes surrounding the last incident.

Lang states on twitter that he was found guilty of class 1 misdemeanor assault and battery. Suspended jail sentence.

So I guess we'll hear something within the next 24-48, but what do you think? Is the suspension lifted or is he off the team?
