It wasn't offensive. More like "you had to be there" sort of thing. It didn't help that you didn't post any context for the post.

I mean seriously. Some people act like they're going to move from the United States and stop supporting their school because Liberty is a candidate to join. I think we should call someone if we do get invited because I don't want Liberty to be accused of breaking the Internet or slowing down the servers of the message boards.

Just FYI, I did a little research and if we do get a SB invitation, our first conference championship will most likely be in men's cross country. The Big South and Sun Belt aren't that different in terms of distance running (ie, we will continue to dominate).

I would feel bad for my former boss over in the news office because I had talked with her after the news conference with Bill Carr and she basically said itd be a crazy day in the news office (heck itd be pretty nuts in the whole Marketing Department) when the call comes down that Liberty is announcing a move to an FBS conference, although Ted Allen (formerly of the News and Advance) probably would be the primary writer for that story

if we do get an all sports invite to the SBC, mens soccer and womens lacrosse would have to find a new home unless the big south would let us stay as associate members. Field hockey is in a separate league anyway. It would be nice to leave the big south altogether but it is what it is.

They would probably be forced to. I had that discussion with a higher up at my employer about if Mercer leaves the ASun. Men's lacrosse would have to stay in the new Asun lacrosse conference. my guess is it will be the the same with us IF and thats a big questionable IF. Just reminding everyone.

This is also a possibility.

High Point, VMI, and Richmond are soon to associate members of the A Sun for lacrosse. So there's certainly precedent for us to be able to compete there.

Exactly, on both counts. I won't believe we're getting an invite until I see it. We still have no idea what's going on with JMU.

As far as the Sun Belt posters go, it reminds me of a time when I was trying to get someone to stop doing something stupid, and then another wise gentlemen said to me, "Kricket, you can't stop a dog from licking it's own rear(changed word for this board)".

Think about the past in terms of basketball hires and the football hire. There was not a lot of info coming out of the Athletic office. He runs a tight ship when it comes to leaking info. So if he is speaking out in the media no less, there is something concrete there.
