What do you guys think? Seems like a great idea to me, especially with the new tunnel that will be built. Imagine this would also drive more student housing in the Wards Ferry Road area.
The Devils in the details but it makes sense and both sides seem ok with it. Now all we need is a WVU style People Mover. Or Zip Lines!

It consolidates some of LU's properties and makes it more centrally located. Instead of having to expand our campus to the other property, we just go across the street....in PEOPLE MOVERS. They are Awesome and save on paying bus drivers and are much safer.

I think it is a great idea for both parties. Any number of schools could be located over there, including the seminary. Since the vehicular tunnel is being built (I saw work today!), it really is not much different than having buildings across 460 (east campus).

What the Banana Slugs of of UC Santa Cruz wasn't your favorite?
Or the TROLLS of Trinity Christian?
Ha. We used to play the Trolls! I forgot about them. They were some big dudes.

Everyone knows the Banana Slugs but few know the 'diggers

Oh... who is paying to build their facility? The state... and it will pay a whole lot more than LU would pay for 30-40 year old buildings. That reminds me of some of the knee-jerk reactions on the N&A site!

And design a people mover! Seriously how cool would that be to have a 'station' by Old Worthy over the train tracks over Wards rd and onto our 'new' campus?

Latest info on the plans for Treasure Island and Daniel Island via the fishwrap:

http://www.newsadvance.com/news/local/a ... 0f31a.html
New plans include about 19 natural grass fields, 150-seat bleachers for fields, a vending area, a pavilion, portable bathrooms and lighting. There are parking lots, docks, boat-launch ramps and a man-made beach in the renderings LU provided to the media Wednesday. Cost estimates were not provided.
And on the new vehicular tunnels to Wards Road:
Falwell also announced Wednesday that construction of two new traffic/pedestrian tunnels under the rail tracks to connect the Liberty campus to Wards Road will be complete by July.

In speaking of improving things, is there any plan to fix the LU internet so that way it actually works during the afternoon? It took me five minutes to load this page and it happens everyday about this time. And I never had these issues my first two years here. I feel sorry for anyone who lives on campus who has to their research on the network. My grandmother's dial-up is nearly as fast. I get it's a high-traffic time but it's never been this bad before.

Is it just me or is anyone else having problems loading anything in the afternoon?
