This thread in particular could really benefit from an accountability based reputation bar. I am so tired of reading about what, after 95+ pages, can only reasonably explained as deus ex machina "insiders" validating someone's ego, optimism, or negativity. Obviously the situation is fluid but if your insiders are contradicting everyone else's insider in different ways and the information we know to be true, that's not an insider; it's a distraction.

Whoa, slow down. If you know anything about me I dont give the insider* crap very often. I work withing a college athletic department and have at 3 different schools. one being an SBC member. while my guy isn't perfect he's right a lot of the time. I'm not here to stroke my own ego or anyone elses. I'm just simply putting out what I have heard. I would absolutely love for my negativity to be invalidated with positive facts(I.E getting an invite). but forgive me. I guess the message board isn't used for what I thought it was used for.

I welcome your posts, and the whole intent of the megathread is to share information. You've not sensationalized or overstated anything, in my humble opinion, and even if you did, this is supposed to be speculative and maybe even a welcome diversion from weighty matters. I would like to see Liberty get an FBS invite sooner rather than later, but I enjoy the back and forth here on the topic. It beats watching the news these days!

@flamesfilmguy, I'm confident that you would not lead us astray with bogus information. I appreciate all of the information that you share on this board.

With that being said, the Sun Belt could go a number of different ways. They could snag another western school so that they can have 5 eastern schools and 5 western schools (football schools). They could invite Missouri State or New Mexico State full-time. They could decide to invite another eastern school such as Liberty, JMU, or Jacksonville St. No one truly knows what they're going to do since its the university presidents that ultimately decide.

In the end, we have to stay positive and play the waiting game. It is frustrating at times, but it is what it is.

question who's the west coast team? i don't see it. the southland teams will get blocked. same with Jax State. JMU still has to do a study and get a couple things in order i believe.... idk who's liberty22 source is but a couple of insiders on scout are saying liberty is next in line as well. as i stated before.

even the people on the sun belt forums are starting to come to grip with the fact that liberty is probably going to get the next invite.

That post wasn't directed to anyone on this board in particular. To be honest, the stuff I see on the sunbelt board irks me just as much. I'm just frustrated in general with how convoluted the whole thing is and continues to be. I will admit the Western option you mentioned completely baffles me. I'm a huge liberty fan like anyone else on here. Sorry to have come off so strong, I just have to believe this is our shot and am trying to sift through all the info to find some truth.
