Why do we always keep guys warming up in the bullpen for multiple innings at a time? That's why all our guys end up needing Tommy John.

Yeah, cause we all can't wait for the Austin Peay game

Not that that's your fault I'm just saying shows their priorities are all screwed up.

I figured...there is probably something that could be used to enable covering more than one event on TV. I wondered why the first game in the new stadium wasnt being covered today myself

Conference rule forces men's basketball to be the priority.

Hard for me to believe the BSC has anything to say about whether we broadcast baseball or basketball when both games are OOC. I´m pretty sure that was an in house decision.

If Liberty claims to be the next BYU and Notre Dame then they should develop what they have or at least what BYU has and develop a separate website with multiple live games showing multiple sports and on demand games. for free to boot. none of the big south bs.

disappointed they didn't broadcast the first game in the new stadium. i would've ponied up and paid the stupid big south the 4.95 if i had to. now i'm sticking to the radio until it's on FSN.

edit: i see its a big south rule. Bull s**t.

Not everyone who throws in the bullpen is warming up to get in a game. Happens all the time, even in MLB.

Wow. Great experience. Love the stadium. Nice setting. Crowd was good. More than 2,500 on-hand. Ready for 2 more tomorrow!

There were a couple hundred open seats from the people I talked to that were there. Still probably a great crowd of around 2000 though. Don't know why we need to fudge the numbers.

Good to hear Jerry Edwards come out of retirement to be the public address announcer. Is this a one-time thing, or will he being doing baseball for the rest of the season?

Also, our first baseman had what looked like a tall red triangle on his uniform above where it says "Liberty" (just above the Y). Does anyoe know what that's about?

Yeah it was good to hear Jerry Edwards. Being to the majority if the home games the last few years, the experience today was nothing like games at Worthington. I loved going to games there and sitting on the hill. However, I think the stadium atmosphere is going awesome. Hopefully, we can get more folks to the games. There were a lot of CFAW and folks excited about new stadium. Going to be a lot louder for opposing batters having everyone in a confined area rather than having folks spread all over the grassy hill. Concessions were open today. J

Not true. There were a scattering of an empty seat every so often. The seats behind home plate were about half full since that is reserved serating but there were at least 200-300 people standing behind the seats including Jeff Barber and Turner Gill.

Hard to exaggerate how great of a college baseball atmosphere we had today. The stadium personnel did a great job of creating atmosphere with the music and sound effects while the crowd was in it from start to finish.

Couple of comments regarding the actual play:

The ball did not carry at all - huge difference from Worthington - will be interesting to see if this continues as it warms up.

The field played extremely slow. Infielders will have to charge balls to make certain plays and bunting could become a larger factor as the ball will die and be tougher plays if you can get it away from the pitcher.

Penn State is not a great team - we need a sweep!
