This one hurts. Really can't afford to go 0-3 but it is going to be hard to rebound this afternoon. Should have went to Richardson sooner. Terrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The talent couldn't find the strike zone. Toman didn't pitch today.

Chippy, you cant allow pitchers to walk 3 straight batters, Toman stays with guys too long, its obvious. He's always done it and he continues too, 3 times in this series and it's cost us both games.

Very sad that we let this one get away. I just told my brother that LU is the only team I know that could lose a 7 run lead in the 7th. However, you can't walk so many runners and still expect to win.

Hopefully we can with the final game. I would have been happy with one win this weekend, so we still have a chance to pull that off.

The good news is that it looks like we have some starting talent on the hill and we can score runs and not be embarrassed by the big boys. GO FLAMES!!!!!

I agree. Once Grauer walked the bases loaded I would have gone to Richardson. Nonetheless, the pitchers couldn't throw strikes. They had two hits in the inning, a bloop single and a comebacker to the mound. You give a high school team 5 walks in an inning and you could be in trouble. This is SC.

Dude. Stop. Toman's too stuck on "This guy can get it done. Even if he's struggling, he's still better than ______." That's stupid. On any given day one guy is better than another based on circumstance and situation. You've got to know when that is. Toman has proven time and time again that he doesn't.

If Toman would recruit the talent, manage the program, and hire three guys to do the actual coaching, we'd be a Top 25 program. He can get the talent here. He just can't do anything with it.

ugh...I looked and we were winning 7-0...went back to enjoying some family time and look again to find out we lost. Its painful being a fan of Liberty athletics.

This is Liberty sports in a nut shell over the past 15 years since I've been following them. To completly collapse and blow that huge of a lead is mindblowing. No excuses.

Obviously you haven't seen many games. "Always"? Besides, if he "always" does it, maybe he should continue, we have won a lot of games with him on the bench. His decisions have won us some games and cost us some games, but that happens, even in MLB by the best managers. LU just needs to close out these games when we have the chance, not just in baseball but in most all sports. I just don't know how we seem to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory so many times.

2013:
SC: 8-7 (led 7-0 in 7th)
SC: 4-3 (14 LOB, more hits, less errors)

2012:
VT: 4-3 (outhit them 12-7, 10 LOB, lost in 9th)
HPU: 13-11 (led 8-0 after 1, 11-7 after 5, lost in 9th)
CCU: 4-2 (they beat us straight up)
CCU: 5-3 (led 3-1 after 5, 9 LOB)
UNCA: 2-0 (8 LOB)
UNCA: 7-6 (14 LOB, lost in 10th)
UGA: 5-3 (Outhit them 11-9)
WU: 6-5 (they beat us, lost in 9th)
CU: 7-6 (lost in 10th, made 5 errors)
VCU: 5-4 (lost in 9th, 11 LOB)
MU: 12-10 (led 8-2 going into bottom 6th)
VCU: 4-2 (lost in 10th, 8 LOB)
GWU: 5-4 (led 4-3 after 6)
SJU: 3-1 (12 LOB)
SU: 9-7 (they bet us)

2011:
CCU: 3-2 (lost in the 9th)
RU: 3-1 (8 LOB)
RU: 5-4 (they beat us)
GWU: 5-4 (lost in 10th)
VMI: 3-1 (they beat us)
CCU: 5-4 (led 4-3 after top 7)
CCU: 5-4 (lost in 9th, 9 LOB)
WU: 2-1 (lost in 9th)
W&M: 10-9 (led 9-7 after 8)
MU: 6-4 (gave up lead in 8th)

2010:
HPU: 2-1 (they beat us)
EU: 3-1 (gave up 3 runs in bottom 8)
EU: 5-3
HPU: 5-4 (lost in 9th)
UNCA: 2-1 (lost in 9th)
UNCA: 5-4 (gave up 2 runs in bottom 8)
Manhattan: 14-13 (lost in 10th, 12 LOB)
Duke: 3-2 (lost in 9th, 10 LOB)
SJU: 7-6 (lost in 9th, 10 LOB)
ODU: 5-3

If we had a manager that could win half of those games, we'd be a Top 25 program and in the postseason every year.

Scouts have been thoroughly impressed with him. Kid has gotten faster, bigger, stronger, each year he has been here. If he has the stats, he will be a big draft pick this year.
