UR, Rocco agree to contract extension through 2017
The University of Richmond and Danny Rocco announced an agreement that extends Rocco’s contract through the 2017 season.

A college football program seeking some stability in the coach’s office acquired it on Monday. The University of Richmond and Danny Rocco announced an agreement that extends Rocco’s contract through the 2017 season.
Rocco, 52, was hired 14 months ago to lead a program that had gone through three coaches, Mike London, Latrell Scott and Wayne Lineburg (interim), in the previous three seasons. Richmond did not disclose contract length when Rocco was introduced as Spiders coach. At that time, former athletics director Jim Miller said that the program was “kind of at a crossroads.”
