You couldn't be more wrong BJ.

Barclay yelled that at us a few years ago when we were chanting "Transfer Omar" to his best player. He yelled at us to stop and then turned to his assistant and said, "Typical Liberty."

You would think by now, Sanders would know that the ball has air in it, and it will bounce. He is a classic example of an over dribbler. An offense becomes more fluid with the fewer dribbles you take.

That was a crazy game. First it seemed like we wanted no part of playing any defense and they would not miss anything. . Then we were playing really tight D and they just would not miss anything. The last 10 minutes or so, for some reason they just kept driving in looking for the refs to bail them out. I don't know why they stopped shooting. By the time LU caught up they had gotten pretty cold and made for an exciting finish. Cant complain when the hot hand gets a good look to tie it. Unless he airballs it I guess. Oh well. 2-5 sure sounds a lot worse than 3-4. I thought we really failed to take advantage of our size. We ran with them for some reason, and apparently we were able to keep pace, but they just did not have the bodies on their roster to stop our post players. It would have kept the pace down, and gotten them into some foul trouble.

When your primary ball handler dribbles and dribbles and dribbles, then penetrates and stops in the post and pivots and pivots and pivots, it doesn't leave a lot of room for your bigs to operate. Just sayin

Poor execution late in the game killed us and the great defense we played recently was absent. The chuck south backcourt duo is filthy! The guys hung close and never quit but no moral victories! We gotta win these types of games

I wish it was just a duo smoothie. Unfortunatly, Sexton gives them probably 3 of the best 8 or 9 guards in the conference. Easy to forget with the impact that Nimley and Harper have made that Sexton was Frosh of the year back in the day. Add to that a guy in Muo who plays the 4 but hits 4 for 5 from 3, and their perimeter game is indeed a handful.

CSU is a very talented team that does not turn the ball over and rebounds well for their size. Overall, we can be proud of the team's progress, we just lack the talent they have. Always felt coach gets his money's worth with this team.

I agree with the comments on late game execution. We had the momentum from that big run to tie the game at 72, so it was completely unnecessary for JC to hock up a three pointer after they scored to retake the lead. If they run a set that gets it to JVP, Gielo or Smith, they can either get the and one inside (which would have given us the lead) or take advantage of what was some pretty decent free throw shooting. and forced it down to the last possession more than likely

this ^^^

how can a school w/ 12,000 students NOT find 10 kids that can ball.

or at least compete w/ a freakin' school of 3300 kids

I agree that Dale gets the most of the talent he has to work with. The question is why hasn't he been given or gotten better talent?

I have trouble understanding why LU always loses close games regardless of the sport. It has been that way the entire history of the school. Yes, there are exceptions, but most of the time we find a way to lose instead of a way to win. It is almost a given, if the game is close at the end, we are going to lose. Norfolk State and Lehigh come to mind in football this year. First and goal inside the five, we convert, we win, then comes the choke-burger. I could come up with a hundred more, and maybe it belongs in another thread, or maybe I am old and senile and don't have a clue what I am talking about.
