Sources: East Central to hire Ken Karcher as head football coach

MERIDIAN — The search for the next head football coach at East Central Community College has come to a close, as sources confirmed to The Meridian Star Thursday, the college is set to announce former Eastern Michigan offensive coordinator Ken Karcher as head coach during a 2:30 p.m. press conference on Friday.
On Jan. 15, Karcher took the head coaching job at King's Academy in Knoxville, Tenn. However, Karcher announced in a press release Wednesday, he would not coach the team for the upcoming season.Click Here for Full Story
"It is with deep regret that our family will not be joining The King's Academy family," Karcher said in the release to the Knoxville News Sentinel . "We appreciate everything that the school did to accommodate our family. After much prayer and consideration we decided that our current family dynamics require us to pursue other opportunities."
