holy crap...so will this eliminate north campus or is this much additional space really needed. I much prefer the centralized main campus rather than having classes at north.

North Campus has been mostly eliminated already. Most classes are already now all in Demoss again. North Campus or Green Hall is now all Online and student activities.

Its offices for marketing and alumni relations and a few other departments as well (I know...I worked over there for the last few months)

In the coming years, Liberty’s new residence halls could house a total of 6,000 residential students as Liberty pushes toward Chancellor Jerry Falwell, Jr.’s goal of 16,000 residential students by 2020.

With the anticipated growth, I wonder if the bookstore will need to be expanded. It seems even now they are so tight for space to sell merchandise. They always have a lot of the same stuff simply because they don't have the space to sell more flames gear and merchandise.

Few things to note

Vehicular Tunnel to Wards at Harvard St.

This new tunnel, which will include four lanes and a pedestrian and bicycle lane, is expected to near completion July 2013.

New Baseball Stadium:

Final touches will not be completed until June 2013, but the stadium will be opened to accommodate games and fans as soon as the season begins.

School of Osteopathic Medicine & Health Sciences:

Falwell anticipates the completion of the building to be May 2014, ready for classes the following semester.

Holy crap. I keep thinking how virtually no segment of the campus will look the same since I first set foot on Liberty's campus as a student in '06, with a few minor exceptions. So glad I got to go to Liberty at such a pivotal time in its history, and be one of the last students to experience the "old campus" before everything transformed. I think all of us can fully appreciate buildings like the new welcome center when we remember the old Hancock building, and the Jerry Falwell library when we remember the Schilling Center. How far Liberty has come...

Haha - that's seems really funny to some of us I'm sure. Imagine the changes since the late '70's and early '80's. I am amazed and thankful too, for how the school has exploded in the past few years. Good to see how God continues to bless LU.

It was crazy to me to see East Campus and the renovation of North Campus...I remember having to move cars from off the band practice field over by where the student center is now and then the stories of guys from what is now E46 (on "The Square") messing with the band scaffolding...but its amazing to see how much has changed even in the last 10+ years, and how the campus will be unrecognizable even to the people who have graduated here recently with the changes coming down the pipe.

Whenever my Dad an I go back now, its crazy, he graduated in 76 and me in '10, and its that same thing, its changed so drastically since I left, and its not even the same school as when he did.

Yep... I remember filming construction on the Square for one of my little monthly point-and-shoot videos I used to do for the school way back when. As terrible as the quality was on those videos (you remember, I'm sure, BJ!) they're definitely "historic" now!

When I toured campus for the first time before my sister started school in '03, Campus East was primarily a huge pile of dirt.

The Square was finished by the time I left. I was one of the first people to live on East Campus, back when there were only 6 or 7 buildings over there.

i visited on cfaw in spring '07. (my jr. year in hs) i just left may '12. in 2 yrs i probably wont recognize a thing.
