Is it just me, or does this team seem bored? Like some nights they win by 60, and then just decide not to show up. It's insane.

High Point beat us without their best player, Erin Reynolds. We kept Parker in check but their perimeter players killed us. When Devon has an off night we're very vulnerable. We may lose another couple games before the season is over. Hopefully we can still nab the top seed for the tourney.

Last night was sort of a double whammy. Having a game time changed and then not having your head coach on the sidelines can do a lot to discombobulate a team. It's not an excuse but just an expaination.

But, we were at home. So a time change really isn't a good excuse.

It's a change of routine. And actually handled better by a road team. That and the Arosto opening probably dwindled the normally pulsating throngs of fans who usually attend

Went to the game last night expecting a much better performance from the team, especially who they were playing. HP was the quicker team and seemed to play with a passion and wanting to win the game versus LU. Hope the girls can play better down the road. Having the #1 seed in the tourney isn't much unless they can win the BS, most likely against HP.

Purple's right. Teams have a routine natural routine that they go through on gameday. If the game is at 7 (as last night originally was) they have a routine, if its at 2 or 3 like tomorrow's game is, they have a routine for that too. When you throw it off with a fairly last minute change like we had yesterday, it can have an effect on your psychological makeup which then manifests itself physically (often through how the team plays like it seemed to last night)

Agreed, Presby seems to be a greater threat than High Point

what does it really matter?? They win all their big south games and get a 14 seed instead of a 15??

Well there is that. But anyone else from the BSC would get a 16 seed.

Presby will rejoin the pack shortly. HPU, Campbell, Winthrop and even Radford who beat them by 18 all have more talent and will eventually jump over them by year's end,

I have to admit, I was surprised that High Point won. I saw them at Campbell, and while not a bad, bad team, didn't overly excite me either. Just shows why the games are actually played.

Reynolds had been out for awhile and since they know now that she's not coming back, they do appear to have somewhat settled into their roles.

I do think that the fact that High Point has had some success with Liberty, even at Liberty, does carry over and does help them, even though High Point's had 3 coaches in the last 3 seasons. Doesn't mean I think High Point's better than Liberty, just that they know Liberty's not unbeatable.
