Didn't see a Georgia-Nebraska shootout coming. Despite the NW and Nebraska scores, I'd still be in favor of banning the B1G from bowl games from now on. They're just awful.

Nebraska and Michigan seem to be doing OK. Purdue was going to tank because they weren't that good to begin with, then you add the coach being fired you have the recipe for disaster. Wisconsin will be interesting to watch. I could see them upsetting Stanford. I can also see them getting blown out.
Northwestern is just Northwestern.

Michigan St wins their Bowl
Minnesota loses by 2 in their Bowl
Northwestern wins their Bowl
Purdue was a train wreck (see what I did there?)

Not sure how they are awful. :dontgetit

I don't think I've ever seen a referee look at a measurement, have the ball clearly short of the marker, and still signal for a first down. The head ref in the South Carolina-Michigan game should be fired on the spot for getting that wrong. It's not a judgement call, it's an objective standard and the ball is clearly a few chain links short of a first down. Just astonishing.

EDIT: And Jadeveon Clowney just obliterates the Michigan running back and takes the ball on the next play.

I'd trade every Redskin not named RGIII, combined, for Clowney. He's that player that shows up once a generation and gives you an early glimpse into what the next wave of players will be like physically.

Yeah. That thinking worked out in the past for the Vikings and the Saints!

Apparently a knee on the ground before fumbling isn't enough to overturn an obviously wrong fumble call. The refs are doing Northern Illinois no favors tonight.

not only knee on ground, as much as these refs hv neen calling helmet to helmet shots that was very obvious.

is this what a mid major vs big 5 game looks like on avg. the NIU qb has been throwing the ball just awful, not giving wrs a chance. close for a while

If the NIU QB had been able to hit easy, open passes last night they score at least 14 more and keep it close the whole time. FSU clearly has the much better athletes, and Jimbo Fisher has them moving the right direction again as a top program, but NIU had its chances and didn't catch a break from the zebras.

I agree. WOW. I'm not sure it's a case of Louisville playing great as it is UF playing poorly. I don't normally do this but I put this on the UF coaching staff

I say it's a bit of both. I lost count of how many Louisville wide receivers were left wide open. And it's not like they were all working themselves into open position, quite often they were wide open as soon as they came off the line of scrimmage!

That's the first time I've ever seen some one do a track-style dip at the tape as he crossed the goal line.

That's a Longhorn fan with sour grapes for you.

I agree with you that Sumlin hasn't proven himself yet… A&M could be like Auburn of last year… but I am inclined to think more of Sumlin than Chizik.

That's a pretty low bar. Yeah, Sumlin won in a couple of years at UH thanks to talent Coach Briles pulled in like Case Keenum. Then he slides over to College Station and has a Heisman winner dropped in his lap after the kid was overlooked by Mack Brown (grrrr). The guys at UH complain he left a mess with no talent to show for his time in Houston.

All that said, yes I am jealous of the season the Ags enjoyed.
