UK basketball: Where are they now?
Winston Bennett rebounds from his mistakes

Since his playing days ended, former UK men’s basketball player Winston Bennett has gone from what he describes as a height of professional athletics, to some of the lowest points a person could experience.

Now he’s a coach at Mid-Continent University in Mayfield, Ky. On a Monday morning between games, he took time to share what he said was his often-humbling life story so far.

And here's the part where I will direct your attention ...

Bennett sees a stronger emphasis on faith in God in his future.

“Everything else comes from that,” he said.

For him that also includes his continued work toward a theology degree from Liberty University.

“My influence, all my life, has been the church,” he said. “There’s no greater book than the Bible.”
