What do you mean by this statement? I'm not sure I understand what you mean. Do you believe that a private institution must abide by separation of church and state? If so, what do you base this on? What is the authority for separation of church and state?
Three words: federal financial aid. A vast majority of students are on it and the reason why LUO is booming.
That argument doesn't hold water when one clearly lays out the facts. Our financial aid is no different per student than most other schools that aren't giving out scholarships- probably a good bit less (compared to the school I work for).

I check this thread a couple times a day during school, which is dangerous.
+ 3 please move the political stuff somewhere else guys. I get an update to my email every time someone posts to this tread and I'm expecting news on conference realignment, not a political argument.

Probably this: http://www.baylor.edu/biology/index.php?id=77368
they have that so they can get funding for research.

After 81 pages of realignment we shouldn't move the thread. I would argue that our polarizing political lean is one of the reasons why we are on the outside looking in at FBS, and thus warrants discussion when considering Liberty in realignment talks.

Now we're screwed!!!! Why would God allow secular institutions to prosper and not a genuine Christian university?! This is why this world has gone to H-E-double hockey sticks!!!! Liberty to F :BS!!!!
Define 'prosper'? Is going to FBS and incurring large increases in operating expenses prospering? Is moving somewhere ahead of Gods timing prosperous? Or is this some type of Manifest Destiny where we have inverted the old Pentacostal Mantra 'I said so God believes it and its good enough for me!'

They are secular and not with God. We are Christian and with God. God still rewards the evil secular schools and not Christians. The default saying everyone usually has is, "Oh they will get it in the end" or "We win in the end when we are in heaven." That is way too little way too late. Christians need to be rewarded NOW and evil needs to lose NOW!!!!

I thought this was pretty interesting. My apologies if its already been posted.
In a recent interview, Arkasas-Little Rock AD Chris Peterson revealed that UALR has had discussions with the Summit League about joining should they leave the Sunbelt.

Peterson said that the Trojans have had talks with the conference about potential membership given that the Sun Belt has toyed with the idea of wanting every member to field a football team, something UALR lacks.

“We’ve had discussions, but at this point we’re pretty committed to being in the Sun Belt,” said Peterson, whose dad, Gil, formerly served as the athletic director at Huron College. “We feel we’ve got a home as long as we want. There’s times you think about dealing with institutions that are more like you, that don’t have football. But at times, there are benefits to being involved in a league that has (Football Championship Subdivision) football.”
